공주시, ‘공주 충청감영 생생마을’ 개관 사진/공주시
공주시(시장 최원철)는 21일 '공주 충청감영 생생마을' 개관식을 열고 본격 운영에 들어갔다. 개관식에는 송무경 부시장을 비롯해 공주시의원, 공주향교 유림, 우금티기념사업회, 시민 등 100여 명이 참석했다.
충청감영 생생마을은 충청감영의 역사와 문화를 재현한 시설로, 공주한옥마을 부지 내에 조성했다. 전시관 1동, 체험관 3동, 사무실과 화장실 등 총 6개 동으로 구성했다.
전시관에는 유근·김육·남이웅·심이지 등 충청감사 4인의 초상화와 '신관도임연회도' 영상을 설치했다. 공주 충청감영 측우기 모형과 영상, 충청감영 모형, '충청감영 사람들' 피규어 등도 전시했다. 전시관은 매일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 운영한다. 휴관일은 없다.
체험관에는 관찰사 집무실을 재현한 좌식 회의실과 현대식 회의 공간을 조성했다. 의복 체험실, 프로그램 운영실, 야외 형벌 체험시설도 갖췄다. 체험관은 한옥마을 숙박객이나 체험프로그램 운영자가 유료로 이용할 수 있다.
시는 충청감영 생생마을을 ㈜브릿지호텔앤드리조트공주(대표 진재윤)에 민간 위탁했다. 위탁기간은 한옥마을 위탁기간과 동일한 2026년 12월 31일까지다. 시는 생생마을을 한옥마을과 연계해 운영한다. 전통혼례장 운영과 충청감영의 역사를 알리는 기획 프로그램, 체험공간 대여를 통해 운영을 활성화할 계획이다.
최원철 시장은 "공주는 330년 동안 충청감영의 중심이었던 도시"라며 "충청감영 생생마을 개관을 통해 공주의 역사적 품격과 문화를 시민과 관광객이 함께 체험할 수 있기를 바란다"고 말했다. 이어 "지역의 역사유산을 현대적으로 재해석해 공주의 정체성을 더욱 확고히 하겠다"고 밝혔다.
공주는 백제 웅진시대 중흥의 왕도였다. 통일신라부터 조선시대까지 호서 지역의 중심지로 발전했다. 임진왜란 이후인 1602년부터 1932년 충남도청이 대전으로 이전하기 전까지 약 330년 동안 충청감영이 자리했다. 충청감영은 처음 공산성에 설치했다가 이후 봉황산 아래 현 공주사대부고 부지로 옮겼다. 충청도의 최고 관청으로서 행정과 군사 중심 기능을 담당했다.

The city consigned the Chungcheong Gamyeong Living Village to Bridge Hotel & Resort Gongju Co., Ltd. (CEO Jin Jae-yoon). The consignment period is until December 31, 2026, the same as the Hanok Village consignment period. The city operates the Living Village in connection with Hanok Village. The city plans to activate operations through traditional wedding hall operations, planning programs to promote the historical significance of Chungcheong Gamyeong, and rental of experience spaces.
Mayor Choi Won-cheol said, "Gongju was the center of Chungcheong Gamyeong for 330 years." He added, "Through the opening of Chungcheong Gamyeong Living Village, I hope citizens and tourists can experience Gongju's historical dignity and culture together." He stated, "We will further solidify Gongju's identity by reinterpreting regional historical heritage in a modern way."
