세종특별자치시 장애인 탁구 선수단이 제21회 서산시장배 전국장애인탁구대회에서 금메달 1개와 동메달 2개를 획득했다.
세종시는 지난 17일부터 18일까지 충남 서산시 시민체육관에서 열린 이번 대회에서 우수한 성적을 거뒀다고 22일 밝혔다.
이번 대회에는 전국 시도에서 CLASS 1∼10체급(상·하지), 11체급(지적), DF(청각) 등 485명의 선수가 참가했다.
세종시는 감독 1명, 선수 12명, 보호자 3명 등 총 16명을 대회에 출전시켰다.
권기진 선수가 여자 단식 CLASS 9체급에서 금메달을 땄다.
박명근 선수(세종충남대병원 기업연계)는 남자 단식 CLASS 5체급에서 동메달을 획득했다. 하재련 선수(쿠팡로지스틱스 기업연계)는 여자 단식 CLASS 5체급에서 동메달을 목에 걸었다.
임규모 세종특별자치시장애인체육회 사무처장은 "우수한 경기력으로 전국 대회에서 우리시의 위상을 드높인 선수단이 정말 자랑스럽다"며 "선수들이 최고의 기량을 발휘할 수 있도록 최선을 다해 지원하겠다"고 말했다.

The Sejong Special Self-Governing City para table tennis team won one gold medal and two bronze medals at the 21st Seosan Mayor's Cup National Para Table Tennis Championship.
Sejong City announced on the 22nd that it achieved excellent results at the tournament held at Seosan City Civic Gymnasium in South Chungcheong Province from the 17th to the 18th.
A total of 485 athletes from across the nation participated in this tournament, competing in CLASS 1-10 (upper and lower limbs), CLASS 11 (intellectual disability), and DF (hearing impairment) categories.
Sejong City sent a total of 16 people to the tournament, including 1 coach, 12 athletes, and 3 guardians.
Kwon Ki-jin won the gold medal in the women's singles CLASS 9 category.
Park Myeong-geun (Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital corporate partnership) won a bronze medal in the men's singles CLASS 5 category. Ha Jae-ryeon (Coupang Logistics corporate partnership) won a bronze medal in the women's singles CLASS 5 category.
Lim Gyu-mo, Secretary General of the Sejong Special Self-Governing City Sports Association for the Disabled, said, "We are truly proud of the athletes who elevated our city's status at the national competition with their excellent performance," adding, "We will do our best to support the athletes so they can demonstrate their best skills."
