세종특별자치시(시장 최민호)는 오는 31일까지 농지소재지 읍면사무소에서 벼 깨씨무늬병 피해 신청을 받는다고 22일 밝혔다.
벼 깨씨무늬병은 벼 잎에 깨씨 모양의 암갈색 병무늬가 생기는 병해다. 심한 경우 벼알에 반점이 형성돼 품질 저하를 유발한다.
올해 7~8월 이상고온과 9월 잦은 강우로 벼 깨씨무늬병이 전국적으로 발생했다. 농림축산식품부는 이를 농업재해로 인정했다.
세종시 피해 면적은 전체 벼 재배면적 3,140㏊ 가운데 약 5%인 160㏊로 추산된다.
시는 신고 접수된 피해 필지를 대상으로 현장 확인을 거쳐 병 피해 면적을 산출한다. 피해율 30% 이상 80% 미만 농가에는 농약대 82만 원/㏊를 지원한다. 피해율 80% 이상 농가에는 대파대 372만 원/㏊를 지원할 계획이다.
송인호 도농상생국장은 "올해 이상고온과 잦은 강우로 벼 깨씨무늬병이 발생해 농가 피해가 우려된다"며 "지원이 누락되지 않도록 피해조사를 정밀하게 실시하는 등 농가의 경영 안정을 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

Rice false smut occurred nationwide this year due to abnormally high temperatures in July and August and frequent rainfall in September. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs recognized this as an agricultural disaster.
The damaged area in Sejong City is estimated at 160㏊, approximately 5% of the total rice cultivation area of 3,140㏊.
The city will calculate the disease-damaged area through on-site verification of reported damage plots. Farms with damage rates of 30% or more but less than 80% will receive pesticide cost support of 820,000 won/㏊. Farms with damage rates of 80% or more will receive replanting cost support of 3.72 million won/㏊.
Song In-ho, Director of the Urban-Rural Cooperation Bureau, said, "We are concerned about damage to farms due to rice false smut caused by abnormally high temperatures and frequent rainfall this year," adding, "We will do our best to stabilize farm management by conducting precise damage surveys to ensure no support is missed."
