세종특별자치시는 2025년 지진안전주간(10월 20∼26일)을 맞아 시민의 지진 대응 역량 강화를 위한 홍보와 캠페인을 추진한다고 밝혔다. 세종특별자치시장은 최민호다.

행정안전부는 '지진, 흔들릴때는 탁자 밑! 나갈때는 계단!'을 주제로 전국 단위 지진안전주간 행사를 주관한다.

세종시는 이 기간 세종시 누리집, 승강장 안내문, 각종 전광판 등을 활용해 지진대피 행동요령을 홍보한다.

세종시는 지진발생 시 주민의 안전한 대피를 위해 옥외대피소 123곳의 안내표지판 설치 상태를 점검한다. 세종시는 이달 말까지 보수가 필요한 시설을 보완 완료할 예정이다.

세종시는 지속적인 지진 안전교육과 시설 점검을 병행해 시민이 안심할 수 있는 안전도시 기반을 강화한다.

고성진 세종시 시민안전실장은 "최근 한반도에도 크고 작은 지진이 빈번하게 발생하고 있는 만큼 시민 모두가 지진 발생 시 올바른 행동요령을 숙지하는 것이 중요하다"며 "이번 지진안전주간을 통해 세종시가 보다 안전한 도시로 나아가는 계기가 되길 바란다"고 밝혔다.

Sejong City inspects the installation status of information signs at 123 outdoor shelters for residents' safe evacuation during earthquakes. Sejong City plans to complete repairs for facilities requiring maintenance by the end of this month.

Sejong City strengthens the foundation of a safe city where citizens can feel secure by conducting continuous earthquake safety education and facility inspections in parallel.

Ko Seong-jin, director of Sejong City's Citizen Safety Office, stated, "As large and small earthquakes are occurring frequently on the Korean Peninsula recently, it is important for all citizens to be familiar with proper behavior guidelines during earthquakes," adding, "I hope this Earthquake Safety Week will serve as an opportunity for Sejong City to move forward as a safer city."
