◆ 20일 옥천군청 등 방문...로컬푸드·5일장 체험
이원초등학교는 10월 20일 옥천군청 및 옥천읍 일원에서 『이원원정대』동아리 '우리 지역의 주민 참여와 경제활동' 마을 프로젝트를 실시했다고 밝혔다. 3~4학년 학생들은 군청을 시작으로 로컬푸드 유통센터와 직매장, 5일장 등을 방문하고 직접 물건을 구매하며 옥천 지역 경제 협동체와 지역의 경제 문화를 체험했다.
◆ '이원 친환경 나눔 마당' 운영...수세미·다육식물 무료 나눔
학생들은 옥천군청 현관에 '이원 친환경 나눔 마당'을 설치하고 직접 만든 수세미와 다육식물 화분을 주민들에게 무료로 나누어주며 나눔과 협력의 소중함을 배우고 지역 사회에 기여하는 경험을 했다. 군수님과의 대화를 통해 학생들은 옥천군에 대해 바라는 것 등을 전달하고 지역 발전에 대한 열정을 나누며 지역사회에 더 많은 기여를 하고자 하는 다짐을 했다.
◆ 신지혜 교사 "지역 발전 기여하는 미래 리더 기대"
프로그램을 주관한 신지혜 교사는 "이러한 소중한 경험과 교육을 바탕으로 우리 학생들이 지역사회와 교육의 상호작용을 통해 지역 발전에 기여하는 미래 리더들이 될 것으로 기대한다"고 밝혔다.
