김 지사는 13일 충북도의회 워크숍룸에서 열린 확대간부회의에서 “민생경제가 쉽지 않은 상황인 만큼 일자리 창출과 내수 진작에 행정력을 집중해야 할 때”라며 “충북의 경제지표가 좋은 흐름을 보이지만 지속 가능성 확보가 중요하므로 지역 실정에 맞는 대응과 연구에 최선을 다해달라”고 말했다.
그는 “가을 축제 시즌을 맞아 안전을 최우선으로 하면서 축제의 질을 높이는 데 도가 주도적으로 나서야 한다”며 “오송화장품뷰티산업엑스포를 비롯한 각종 행사와 축제의 교통·숙박·안전 등 전반을 철저히 준비해 내수 진작으로 이어질 수 있도록 노력해 달라”고 강조했다.
김 지사는 “충북이 추진한 개혁 정책이 전국적으로 좋은 평가를 받으며 확산되고 있다”며 “정책이 실질적인 성과로 이어지도록 더욱 내실을 다져야 한다”고 말했다.
또한 정부의 인공지능(AI) 정책과 연계한 도 차원의 산업 추진에도 속도를 낼 것을 지시했다.
끝으로 그는 “추석 연휴 기간 도내에서 발생한 지진과 낙석 사고 등 위기 상황에서도 큰 피해 없이 도정이 안정적으로 운영됐다”며 “현장을 지킨 공무원, 소방, 의료복지 종사자들의 헌신과 노고에 감사한다”고 밝혔다.

Kim emphasized the importance of prioritizing safety during the fall festival season while improving the quality of events. He instructed the province to take the lead in preparing for transportation, lodging, and safety measures for various festivals, including the Osong Cosmetics & Beauty Industry Expo, to ensure that these events contribute to domestic demand.
He added that the province’s reform policies have received favorable evaluations nationwide and have been spreading. He urged officials to strengthen policy implementation to produce tangible results.
Kim also directed the provincial government to accelerate industrial initiatives that align with the national artificial intelligence (AI) policy.
Finally, he thanked public officials, firefighters, and medical and welfare workers for their dedication during the Chuseok holiday, noting that despite earthquakes and rockfall incidents in the province, administrative operations continued smoothly without major damage.
