◆ 2025년 국제선 150만명 수송…2년 만에 8배 성장
에어로케이항공(대표 강병호)이 2025년 국제선 승객 150만명을 수송했다. 이는 2023년 18만명 대비 8배, 2024년 86만명 대비 74% 증가한 수치다. 에어로케이항공은 청주국제공항을 거점으로 국제선 운항을 본격화한 이후 매년 가파른 성장세를 기록하고 있다.
◆ 청주공항 국제선 승객 10명 중 6.5명 에어로케이항공 이용
에어로케이항공은 2025년 청주공항에서 126만명의 국제선 승객을 수송했다. 같은 기간 청주공항 전체 국제선 이용객은 194만명으로, 에어로케이항공이 65%를 차지했다. 에어로케이항공은 일본, 동북아시아, 동남아시아, 몽골 등 중단거리 국제선 노선을 운영하며 충청권, 수도권 남부, 경북, 전북 등 영호남 지역 수요를 흡수했다.
◆ 2026년 200만명 목표…화물 사업 진출 검토
에어로케이항공은 2026년 국제선 승객 200만명 수송을 목표로 설정했다. 에어로케이항공은 노선 운영 내실화와 서비스 품질 향상에 집중할 계획이다. 에어로케이항공은 여객 운송과 함께 화물 운송 사업 진출을 단계적으로 준비하며 청주공항의 물류 기능 강화에 기여할 방침이다. 에어로케이항공 관계자는 "청주공항과 지역사회의 지지 속에 거점 항공사로서 소임을 다한 결과"라며 "2026년에도 안전을 최우선으로 국제선 네트워크 확대를 통해 청주공항 활성화에 앞장서겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ 1.5 Million International Passengers in 2025...Eight-Fold Growth in Two Years
Air Rokey Airlines (CEO Kang Byung-ho) transported 1.5 million international passengers in 2025. This represents an eight-fold increase from 180,000 in 2023 and a 74% increase from 860,000 in 2024. Air Rokey Airlines has recorded steep annual growth since launching full-scale international operations from Cheongju International Airport.
◆ 6.5 Out of 10 Cheongju Airport International Passengers Use Air Rokey Airlines
Air Rokey Airlines transported 1.26 million international passengers from Cheongju Airport in 2025. During the same period, total international passengers at Cheongju Airport reached 1.94 million, meaning Air Rokey Airlines accounted for 65%. Air Rokey Airlines operates medium and short-haul international routes to Japan, Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and Mongolia, capturing demand from Chungcheong region, southern Seoul metropolitan area, North Gyeongsang Province, and North Jeolla Province.
◆ Targets 2 Million in 2026...Considers Cargo Business Entry
Air Rokey Airlines set a target of transporting 2 million international passengers in 2026. Air Rokey Airlines plans to focus on strengthening route operations and improving service quality. Air Rokey Airlines will prepare to enter the cargo transport business in stages, contributing to strengthening Cheongju Airport's logistics function. An Air Rokey Airlines official stated, "This achievement results from fulfilling our role as a base airline with support from Cheongju Airport and the local community," adding, "In 2026, we will prioritize safety and lead the revitalization of Cheongju Airport through international network expansion."
