◆ 예산군의회-수어통역센터 업무협약 체결

예산군의회(의장 장순관)는 12일 예산군 수어통역센터(센터장 윤경미)와 수어통역 업무협약을 체결했다. 협약은 청각장애인의 의정활동 참여 기회를 확대하고 알권리를 충족하기 위해 마련됐다. 정례회와 임시회 본회의에서 수어통역 서비스를 안정적으로 제공한다.

◆ 2022년부터 지속 시행, 1월 22일부터 서비스 제공

예산군의회는 2022년부터 본회의 중 수어통역 서비스를 시행해왔다. 올해는 1월 22일 개회하는 제322회 임시회 제1차 본회의부터 서비스를 제공할 계획이다. 본회의는 예산군의회 인터넷 생방송(유튜브)을 통해 실시간 시청이 가능하다.

◆ "취약계층 권익 증진 앞장"

장순관 의장은 "협약으로 청각장애인의 알권리 충족과 의정활동 참여 활성화를 기대한다"고 밝혔다. 이어 "단 한 명의 군민도 외면받지 않도록 예산군 수어통역센터와 협력해 취약계층 권익 증진에 앞장서겠다"고 말했다.

◆ Yesan County Council-Sign Language Interpretation Center Sign Business Agreement

Yesan County Council (Chairman Jang Soon-gwan) signed a sign language interpretation service agreement with Yesan County Sign Language Interpretation Center (Director Yoon Kyung-mi) on the 12th. The agreement was established to expand opportunities for hearing-impaired individuals to participate in legislative activities and to fulfill their right to know. The council will provide stable sign language interpretation services during regular and extraordinary session plenary meetings.

◆ Continuous Implementation Since 2022, Service Starts January 22

Yesan County Council has been providing sign language interpretation services during plenary sessions since 2022. This year, the service will be provided starting with the first plenary session of the 322nd extraordinary session opening on January 22. Plenary sessions can be viewed in real-time through Yesan County Council's internet live broadcast (YouTube).

◆ "Leading the Way in Promoting Rights of Vulnerable Groups"

Chairman Jang Soon-gwan stated, "We expect this agreement to fulfill the right to know for hearing-impaired individuals and activate their participation in legislative activities." He added, "We will lead the way in promoting the rights of vulnerable groups through cooperation with Yesan County Sign Language Interpretation Center so that not a single county resident's voice is ignored."
