충남 당진시가 2025년 연간 관광객 1000만 명을 돌파했다.

'2025~2026 당진 방문의 해'를 맞아 삽교호 관광지에서 진행한 드론 라이트쇼가 야간 관광 모델로 자리잡았다. 드론쇼는 캐릭터 연출과 스토리텔링을 결합해 야간 체류형 관광을 활성화했다. 가족 단위 관광객과 MZ세대 방문이 증가하며 당진 관광 경쟁력을 높였다는 평가다.
◆ 관광 인프라 고도화로 전국 관광객 유입 확대
당진시는 관광 안내 서비스를 개선하고 지역 상권과 연계한 관광 동선을 구축했다. 수도권, 충청권은 물론 전국에서 관광객 유입이 확대됐다.
신현숙 당진시 관광과장은 "연간 관광객 1000만 명 달성은 차별화된 관광 콘텐츠와 인프라를 추진한 성과"라며 "야간 관광, 체류형 관광, 지역 상생 관광을 중심으로 혁신적인 관광 브랜드를 구축하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ Tourism Infrastructure Advancement Expands National Tourist Influx
Dangjin City improved tourism guidance services and established tourism routes linked with local commercial districts. Tourist influx expanded from the metropolitan area and Chungcheong region as well as nationwide.
Shin Hyun-suk, Director of Dangjin City Tourism Department, stated, "Achieving 10 million annual tourists is the result of systematically promoting differentiated tourism content and infrastructure," adding, "We will establish an innovative tourism brand centered on nighttime tourism, stay-type tourism, and community-cooperative tourism."
