세종특별자치시교육청(교육감 권한대행 부교육감 구연희)이 1월 14일 공주대학교 백제교육문화관에서 '대한민국 교육의 미래를 만드는 사회적 대화' 행사를 연다.

◆전국 17개 교육기관 참여한 공론장

세종·충남·서울·인천·울산교육청과 대한교육법학회 등 17개 교육 관련 기관과 단체가 이번 행사를 공동 주최한다. 교원과 연구자, 예비교사, 교육단체 관계자 등 600여 명이 참여할 예정이다.

교육부 장관이 참여하는 타운홀 미팅이 마련된다. 교육 현장의 목소리와 국가 교육정책을 직접 연결하는 자리다.

◆학교 위기부터 AI 교육까지 7대 의제 논의

토론은 7개 핵심 의제로 진행된다. 위기의 학교 진단과 학교공동체 회복, 공교육과 사교육의 관계, 학교가 교육 가능한 공간이 되기 위한 조건, 고교교육 정상화 및 고교학점제, 서울대 10개 만들기와 지역교육 활성화, 인공지능 기술과 교육, 혐오의 시대 시민교육 방향 등이다.

연구자와 현장 실천 전문가가 발제한다. 모둠 토론 방식으로 운영한다. 토론 결과는 교육 당국에 전달해 정책 논의 기초 자료로 활용할 계획이다.

◆정책 제언으로 이어지는 실질적 토론

세종시교육청 관계자는 "교육 문제는 어느 한 주체가 단독으로 해결할 수 없는 복합 과제"라며 "지역에서 시작된 숙의가 국가 정책으로 확장되는 새로운 모델을 제시하는 자리"라고 밝혔다.

The Sejong Special Self-Governing City Office of Education (Acting Superintendent and Vice Superintendent Koo Yeon-hee) will hold the "Social Dialogue for Creating the Future of Korean Education" event on January 14 at the Baekje Education and Culture Center at Kongju National University.

◆National Platform with 17 Education Organizations

Seventeen education-related organizations and institutions, including the Sejong, South Chungcheong, Seoul, Incheon, and Ulsan offices of education and the Korean Educational Law Association, are co-hosting the event. Approximately 600 participants, including teachers, researchers, pre-service teachers, and education organization officials, are expected to attend.

A town hall meeting with the Minister of Education has been arranged. The session will directly connect voices from education sites with national education policies.

◆Seven Key Agendas from School Crisis to AI Education

The discussion will focus on seven core agendas: diagnosing the school crisis and restoring school communities, insights and alternatives on the relationship between public and private education, conditions for schools to become spaces where education is possible, normalization of high school education and the high school credit system, creating 10 Seoul National Universities and revitalizing regional education, artificial intelligence technology and education, and the direction of civic education in an era of hatred.

Researchers and field practice experts will present. The event will operate in a group discussion format. Discussion results will be delivered to education authorities and used as basic data for policy discussions based on social consensus.

◆Practical Discussion Leading to Policy Recommendations

A Sejong City Office of Education official stated, "Education problems are complex tasks that cannot be solved by any single entity alone," adding, "This social dialogue presents a new model where deliberation starting from regions expands into national policy."
