조동식 서산시의회 의장이 대한민국지방의정봉사상을 수상했다. 조 의장은 지난 19일 제136차 충청남도시·군의회의장협의회 정례회에서 대한민국시군자치구의회의장협의회(회장 김현기)로부터 상을 받았다.

조 의장은 지방의회 의원으로서 투철한 사명감과 봉사정신으로 지방의정 발전과 주민화합을 위해 헌신적으로 봉사한 공로를 인정받았다. 지역사회 발전에 기여한 점이 높이 평가됐다.

조 의장은 "시민을 위해 당연히 해야 할 역할을 했을 뿐인데 뜻깊은 상을 받게 되어 영광"이라며 "앞으로도 시민 한 분 한 분 목소리가 시정에 반영될 수 있도록 더욱 세심히 귀 기울이며 책임 있는 의정활동을 이어가겠다"고 밝혔다.

Honored at 136th Chungnam City and County Council Chairpersons Association Regular Meeting

Seosan City Council Chairman Jo Dong-sik received the Korea Local Council Service Award. Chairman Jo received the award from the Association of Korean City, County, and District Council Chairpersons (Chairman Kim Hyun-ki) at the 136th Chungcheongnam-do City and County Council Chairpersons Association regular meeting on the 19th.

Chairman Jo was recognized for his dedicated service to local legislative development and resident harmony with a strong sense of mission and spirit of service as a local council member. His contribution to regional development was highly evaluated.

Chairman Jo stated, "I am honored to receive this meaningful award when I simply did what I should do for citizens. I will continue responsible legislative activities while listening more carefully so that every citizen's voice can be reflected in city administration."
