◆ 송학중학교 제51회 졸업식 개최

송학중학교(교장 김덕진)는 1월 7일 오전 10시 학교 다목적실에서 제51회 졸업식을 개최했다. 충북 제천시 송학면에 위치한 송학중학교 졸업식에는 졸업생과 학부모, 교직원이 참석했다. 제천시와 지역 내 여러 기관·단체장들도 함께해 졸업생들의 새로운 출발을 축하했다.

◆ 폐교 위기에서 재학생 39명 학교로 정상화

송학중학교는 2023년 단 2명 학생이 졸업하며 폐교 위기에 놓였다. 제천시의 통학버스 지원과 지역사회의 지속적인 관심과 협력으로 현재 약 39명 학생이 재학하는 학교로 정상화됐다. 제천시의 적극적인 행정 지원은 학생 유입과 교육 여건 개선에 큰 역할을 했다. 학교가 다시 활기를 찾는 데 결정적인 계기가 됐다.

◆ 학교발전위원장 감사패 수여…"꿈 향해 당당히 나아가길"

졸업식에서는 송학학교발전위원회 김태원 위원장에게 감사패를 수여했다. 김 위원장은 학교와 지역사회를 잇는 가교 역할을 하며 학생 교육 환경 개선과 학교 살리기에 앞장선 공로를 인정받았다. 김덕진 교장은 "학교가 어려운 시기를 극복하고 오늘에 이를 수 있었던 것은 제천시와 지역사회, 학교발전을 위해 헌신해 주신 많은 분들의 도움이 있었기에 가능했다"며 "졸업생들이 지역의 응원과 기대를 마음에 담고 자신의 꿈을 향해 당당히 나아가길 바란다"고 말했다.

◆ School Normalized from Closure Crisis to 39 Students

Songhak Middle School faced closure crisis when only 2 students graduated in 2023. The school has now normalized with approximately 39 enrolled students through Jecheon City's school bus support and continuous interest and cooperation from the local community. Jecheon City's active administrative support played a significant role in attracting students and improving educational conditions. This became a decisive turning point for the school to regain vitality.

◆ School Development Committee Chair Receives Appreciation Plaque

The graduation ceremony included the presentation of an appreciation plaque to Kim Tae-won, Chairman of the Songhak School Development Committee. Chairman Kim was recognized for his contributions in serving as a bridge between the school and the community and leading efforts to improve student education environments and save the school. Principal Kim Deok-jin said, "The school was able to overcome difficult times and reach today thanks to the help of Jecheon City, the local community, and many people who dedicated themselves to school development." He added, "I hope the graduates carry the support and expectations of the community in their hearts and move forward confidently toward their dreams."
