◆ 긴급 방역대책회의 개최

충북농협(본부장 이용선)이 6일 농협 충북본부에서 긴급 방역대책회의를 열었다. 충북 지역 고병원성 조류인플루엔자(AI) 확산 차단을 위한 대응 방안을 논의하기 위함이다.

지난해 11월 17일 영동군 용산면에서 충북 첫 고병원성 AI가 발생한 이후 올해 1월 6일까지 충북 지역에서 총 9건이 확인됐다. 충북농협은 지역별 방역 조치사항을 재점검하고 확산방지 대응 방안을 협의했다.

◆ 전국 33건 중 경기도와 함께 최다

1월 6일 현재 전국 고병원성 AI 발생 건수는 33건이다. 경기도 9건, 충북 9건, 전남 7건, 충남 5건, 전북 3건으로 집계됐다. 직전 집계 대비 증가 추세를 보이며 전국적 확산 우려가 커지고 있다.

◆ 방역물자 지원 강화

충북농협은 방역당국 및 관계기관과 협력하여 방역 차량 투입과 생석회, 소독약품 등 방역물자 지원을 강화 중이다. 축산농가 대상 방역 지도와 정보 공유도 확대하고 있다.

이용선 충북농협 본부장은 "현장 중심의 신속한 방역지원과 농가 밀착 관리를 통해 추가 확산을 철저히 차단하겠다"고 밝혔다. 이 본부장은 "농·축협에서는 방역 수칙 준수와 일제 소독 지도에 만전을 기해달라"고 당부했다.

Nine cases since November 17th…Tied for most nationwide with Gyeonggi Province among 33 total cases

◆ Emergency quarantine countermeasures meeting held

Chungbuk Agricultural Cooperative (Director Lee Yong-seon) held an emergency quarantine countermeasures meeting at the Chungbuk headquarters of the agricultural cooperative on January 6th. The meeting was held to discuss response measures to contain the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) in the Chungbuk region.

Since the first case of highly pathogenic AI in Chungbuk was confirmed on November 17th, 2024, in Yongsan-myeon, Yeongdong-gun, a total of nine cases have been confirmed in the Chungbuk region as of January 6th, 2025. Chungbuk Agricultural Cooperative reviewed quarantine measures by region and discussed plans to prevent further spread.

◆ Nationwide 33 cases with Gyeonggi Province tied for most

As of January 6th, 2025, the total number of highly pathogenic AI cases nationwide stands at 33 cases. Cases are distributed as follows: Gyeonggi Province 9 cases, Chungbuk 9 cases, Jeollanam-do 7 cases, Chungcheongnam-do 5 cases, and Jeollabuk-do 3 cases. The figures show an increasing trend compared to the previous count, with growing concerns about nationwide spread.

◆ Strengthening quarantine material support

Chungbuk Agricultural Cooperative is strengthening quarantine material support, including deployment of quarantine vehicles and provision of quicklime and disinfectants, in cooperation with quarantine authorities and related agencies. The cooperative is also expanding quarantine guidance and information sharing for livestock farms.

Lee Yong-seon, director of Chungbuk Agricultural Cooperative, stated, "Through field-based rapid quarantine support and close farm management, we will thoroughly prevent additional spread." He also urged that "agricultural and livestock cooperatives must make every effort to ensure compliance with quarantine rules and conduct comprehensive disinfection guidance."
