예산군은 올해를 민선8기 '완성의 해'로 정하고 첨단 산업 기반 기업 유치 강화, 스마트팜 단지 조성, 내포 농생명 그린바이오 클러스터 조성 사업 등을 본격 추진한다. 예산 제2일반산업단지는 4월 준공을 목표로 마무리 단계에 있다.
예산군은 덕산온천과 예당호 관광지를 중심으로 체류형 관광 구조로 전환하고 내포신도시 확장에도 행정력을 집중한다. 아동수당을 9세 미만까지 월 11만원으로 확대하는 등 생애 주기별 맞춤형 복지 정책도 강화한다.
