세종특별자치시자치경찰위원회(위원장 남택화)가 학교폭력 예방 가상현실(VR) 체험 교육이 성료됐다. 위원회는 29일 3월부터 12월까지 관내 어린이와 청소년을 대상으로 진행한 교육이 청소년 2,000여 명이 참여했으며 만족도 95점을 기록했다고 발표했다.

◆ VR 기기로 실감 나는 체험 교육 제공

위원회가 자체 제작한 학교폭력 예방 VR 콘텐츠를 탑재한 기기를 관내 학교와 청소년 기관에 무상 대여했다. 휴대전화 데이터 갈취 등 청소년이 실제로 경험할 수 있는 학교폭력 상황을 가상현실로 체험하도록 구성했다. 학생들은 가상 상황에서 적절한 대처 방법을 미리 학습할 수 있다.

◆ 7개 학교와 기관 참여...교육 현장 편의성 강화

3월부터 12월까지 관내 7개 학교와 청소년 관련 기관이 참여했다. 총 2,000여 명의 학생이 VR 체험 교육을 이수했다. 위원회는 기기를 직접 전달·회수하는 서비스를 제공했으며, 학습 설명서와 교직원 대상 사용법 교육도 지원했다.

◆ 내년 2월부터 신청 접수...학교폭력 예방 활동 지속

참여 학교와 기관을 대상으로 한 만족도 조사에서 100점 만점에 95점을 기록했다. 위원회는 2025년 2월부터 '학교폭력 예방 가상현실 교육콘텐츠 체험(대여) 사업' 신청을 받을 예정이다. 남택화 위원장은 "가상현실을 활용한 체험형 교육은 학교폭력 예방에 실질적인 효과가 있다"며 "다양한 학교폭력 예방 활동을 지속적으로 추진하겠다"고 말했다.

The committee plans to accept applications for the "School Violence Prevention Virtual Reality Educational Content Experience (Loan) Project" beginning February 2025. Chairman Nam Taek-hwa stated, "Experiential education utilizing virtual reality has substantive effects in preventing school violence," and added, "We will continue to promote diverse school violence prevention activities."
