◆ 음성 원남면 산란계 농장서 H5N1 검출
음성군 원남면 한 산란계 농장에서 검출된 조류인플루엔자(AI) 항원이 고병원성으로 확인됐다.
충북도는 이 농장에 대한 정밀검사 결과 고병원성인 H5N1형 바이러스가 검출됐다고 23일 밝혔다. 이번 겨울철 전국 18번째, 도내에서는 네 번째 농가 감염이다.
도내에서는 지난달 17일 영동 종오리 농장, 지난 16일 괴산 산란계 농장, 21일 진천 메추리 농장에서 고병원성 AI가 발생했다. 이번 확진 농장은 괴산군 산란계 농장과 6㎞ 거리에 있다.
◆ 산란계 8만5000마리 긴급 살처분
도 방역당국은 농장에서 사육 중인 산란계 8만5000마리에 대한 긴급 살처분을 진행하고 있다.
또 발생 농장 반경 500m~10㎞ 방역대 내 가금류 농장 33곳, 150만 마리에 대해 이동제한과 긴급 예찰을 벌이고 있다. 오는 26일까지 정밀검사도 이뤄진다.
◆ 방역당국 "핵심 차단방역 수칙 철저히 지켜달라"
김원설 도 동물방역과장은 "최근 도내 가금농장에서 고병원성 AI가 잇따라 발생하는 엄중한 상황"이라며 "출입차량 2단계 소독, 방역복·전용신발 착용 등 가금농장 핵심 차단방역 수칙을 철저히 지켜달라"고 당부했다.

◆ H5N1 Detected at Egg Farm in Wonnam-myeon, Eumseong
Avian influenza (AI) antigens detected at an egg-laying chicken farm in Wonnam-myeon, Eumseong-gun were confirmed as highly pathogenic.
North Chungcheong Province announced on December 23 that the highly pathogenic H5N1 virus was detected in precision testing of the farm. This is the 18th case nationwide this winter and the fourth farm infection in the province.
Within the province, highly pathogenic AI occurred at an Yeongdong breeding duck farm on November 17, a Goesan egg farm on December 16, and a Jincheon quail farm on December 21. The newly confirmed farm is located 6㎞ from the Goesan egg farm.
◆ Emergency Culling of 85,000 Egg-Laying Chickens
Provincial quarantine authorities are conducting emergency culling of 85,000 egg-laying chickens raised at the farm.
They are also implementing movement restrictions and emergency surveillance on 33 poultry farms with 1.5 million birds within the 500m to 10㎞ quarantine zone around the affected farm. Precision testing will be conducted through December 26.
◆ Quarantine Authorities Urge "Strictly Follow Core Biosecurity Rules"
Kim Won-seol, head of the provincial Animal Disease Prevention Division, stated, "This is a serious situation with highly pathogenic AI occurring consecutively at poultry farms in the province," and urged, "Please strictly follow core biosecurity rules for poultry farms, including two-stage disinfection of entering vehicles and wearing protective clothing and dedicated footwear."
