충북 청주시가 올해 폭염 등 농업재해 피해를 본 330개 농가에 재난지원금 5억8천만원을 지급한다. 청주시는 10일 이같이 밝혔다. 재난지원금은 이달 중 지급된다.

지급 대상은 지난 7∼8월 폭염 피해를 본 인삼 재배 농가 49.2ha다. 고온 및 호우로 깨씨무늬병이 발생한 벼 재배 농가 124ha도 포함된다. 9∼10월 가을장마 피해를 본 배추 재배 농가 81ha와 콩 재배 농가 32.7ha도 지원 대상이다. 재난지원금은 ha당 인삼 432만원, 배추 240만원, 벼·콩 82만원이다.
◆ "농작물재해보험 관심 가져달라"
청주시 관계자는 "자연재해에 대응하기 위한 농작물재해보험의 중요성이 커진다"고 말했다. 시 관계자는 "농업인들은 지자체가 보험료의 90% 이상을 지원하는 농작물재해보험에 많은 관심을 가져달라"고 당부했다.
