당진시(시장 오성환) 자연재난 대응 분야 도지사 기관 표창 수상. 당진시는 8일 보령 비체펠리스 일원 충청남도 자연재해 저감 종합계획 수립 도·시군 워크숍서 4일 도지사 기관 표창 받았다고 밝혔다.

◆ 충남 15개 시군 중 4개만 선정

이번 표창 대상은 자연재난 대응 분야 뛰어난 공적 거둔 기관·공무원·민간인 대상으로 수여. 충청남도 15개 시군 중 4개 시군만 기관 표창 대상 선정됐다. 당진시, 공주시, 아산시, 예산군 총 4곳 기관 표창 받았다. 당진시 여름철과 겨울철 적극적 재해예방 활동 추진 공적 인정받았다.

◆ 도·시군 자연재난 종사 공무원 모인 자리서 공로 인정

도·시군 자연재난 분야 종사 공무원들 모두 모인 자리서 공로 인정받았다. 이로써 표창 의미 더욱 의미 있게 부각됐다.

◆ "재난 피해 예방에 최선 다할 것"

당진시 관계자는 "올해 유난히 많은 비 내려 시민·관계 공무원 모두 힘든 시기 보냈지만, 우리 노력 대외적으로 인정받아 기쁘다"며 "앞으로 당진시 중심으로 민·관·군·경·소방 등 지역사회 각계각층 하나 돼 재난 피해 예방할 수 있도록 최선 다하겠다"고 전했다.

◆ Dangjin Receives Provincial Governor's Commendation

Dangjin City (Mayor Oh Sung-hwan) received the Chungcheongnam Province Governor's commendation for excellence in natural disaster response. Dangjin City announced on the 8th that it received the provincial government commendation on the 4th at a provincial-municipal workshop for establishing comprehensive natural disaster mitigation plans held in Boryeong, Bichefellis area.

◆ Only 4 of 15 Municipalities in Chungcheongnam Province Selected

The commendation targets organizations, civil servants, and civilians who achieved outstanding accomplishments in natural disaster response. Only 4 municipalities among 15 in Chungcheongnam Province received organizational commendations. Dangjin City, Gongju City, Asan City, and Yesan County received the commendations. Dangjin City received recognition for actively promoting disaster prevention activities in summer and winter.

◆ Accomplishments Recognized Among Provincial and Municipal Natural Disaster Officials

Recognition of accomplishments took place in a gathering where all civil servants engaged in natural disaster response from provinces and municipalities convened. This made the commendation more meaningful.

◆ "Will Do Best to Prevent Disaster Damage"

An official from Dangjin City stated, "Although this year experienced unusually heavy rain and both citizens and related civil servants endured difficult times, we are pleased that our efforts were recognized externally. Moving forward, centered on Dangjin City, all sectors of society including civilian, government, military, police, and firefighting will unite to do our best to prevent disaster damage."
