충주교육지원청(교육장 이정훈)은 12월 4일부터 5일까지 충주시청 실업선수단과 연계한 스포츠 진로교실을 개최했다. 이번 행사에는 충주시 관내 학생 78명이 참여했다.

◆ 3개 종목 전용 시설서 진행

스포츠 진로교실은 육상(충주종합운동장), 복싱(충주시복싱장), 배드민턴(호암2체육관) 등 3개 종목으로 운영됐다. 실업선수단은 학생들과 직접 소통하며 종목별 기능훈련, 기초체력훈련, 전술훈련을 지도했다. 선수들은 본인의 경험담도 공유하며 학생들에게 진로탐색 기회를 제공했다.

◆ 일반 학생까지 참여 기회 확대

이번 진로교실은 육성종목 지정학교 학생선수뿐 아니라 스포츠 진로에 관심 있는 일반 학생도 참여할 수 있도록 운영됐다. 충주교육지원청은 지자체, 지역체육단체와 협력해 교육기부 형태로 프로그램을 추진했다.

◆ 교육장 "체육 인프라 활용 프로그램 확대"

이정훈 교육장은 "충주시청 실업선수단의 적극적인 협조 덕분에 학생들이 실제 선수와 함께 진로를 탐색하고 스포츠 전문 역량을 경험할 수 있는 뜻깊은 시간이 마련됐다"고 밝혔다. 이어 "앞으로도 지역 체육 인프라를 활용한 교육기부 프로그램을 확대해 학생들의 꿈과 끼를 키울 수 있는 기회를 계속 만들어가겠다"고 전했다.

◆ Classes Held at Dedicated Facilities for Three Sports

The sports career class covered three sports: track and field (Chungju Sports Complex), boxing (Chungju Boxing Center), and badminton (Hoam 2 Gymnasium). Professional athletes directly interacted with students and provided training in sport-specific skills, basic fitness, and tactics. The athletes also shared their personal experiences, offering students valuable career exploration opportunities.

◆ Participation Opportunities Expanded to General Students

This career class was open not only to student athletes from designated development schools but also to general students interested in sports careers. The Chungju Office of Education collaborated with the local government and regional sports organizations to implement the program as an educational donation initiative.
