◆ e스포츠 매개로 청년 소통행사 개최

대전시는 4일 유성구 대전드림아레나 경기장에서 올해 마지막 청년 소통·공감행사 '청춘엔진ON'을 개최했다. 대전시는 그동안 MZ 청년들의 취미 트렌드에 맞춰 캠핑, 풋살 등 테마로 행사를 진행했다. 이번 행사는 e스포츠 게임을 매개로 주거, 건강, 만남 등 청년문제 전반을 논의했다.

◆ 모바일 정책 질의와 레이싱 대결 진행

최성아 대전시 정무경제과학부시장은 이날 청년들과 만나 모바일 청년정책 질의, e스포츠 레이싱 대전, 청년 체험부스 활동에 참여했다. 청년들은 모바일 질문 보드판을 통해 정책·문화콘텐츠 등 다양한 분야에 의견을 공유했다. 청년들은 지역 고유 축제·캐릭터 등 청년문화 콘텐츠 홍보 확대와 지역 e스포츠 인프라 확충을 제안했다.

레이싱 게임 경기에서 청년들은 1·2라운드 리그전을 통해 실력을 겨뤘다. 각 라운드 상위 입상자는 부시장과 함께하는 3라운드 대결에 참여했다.

◆ 2026년에도 청년 소통행사 지속 추진

최성아 정무경제과학부시장은 "e스포츠를 통해 청년들과 한층 가까워질 수 있는 값진 시간이었다"며 "앞으로 아마추어들도 폭넓게 참여할 수 있는 지역 e스포츠 경기가 다양하게 개최되기를 기대한다"고 말했다.

행사장에는 레트로 오락실 게임, 레이싱 게임 등 체험부스가 운영됐다. 청년뿐 아니라 시민 누구나 참여할 수 있는 열린 행사로 진행됐다.

대전시는 2026년에도 청년들의 관심사와 트렌드를 반영한 다양한 문화행사를 추진할 계획이다. 대전시는 청년이 정책 과정의 주체로 참여할 수 있는 구조를 확립하고 참여형 소통 기반을 지속 확대할 방침이다.

◆ Mobile Policy Q&A and Racing Competition Held

Vice Mayor Choi Seong-ah of Daejeon City's Political, Economic and Science Affairs participated in mobile youth policy Q&A, e-sports racing competition, and youth experience booth activities with young people on this day. Young people shared opinions on various fields including policy and cultural content through mobile question boards. They proposed expanding promotion of regional unique festivals and characters, and expanding regional e-sports infrastructure.

In the racing game competition, young people competed through first and second round league matches. Top finishers from each round participated in a third round match with the Vice Mayor.

◆ Youth Communication Events to Continue in 2026

Vice Mayor Choi Seong-ah said, "It was a valuable time to get closer to young people through e-sports," and added, "I look forward to various regional e-sports competitions where amateurs can also widely participate."

Experience booths including retro arcade games and racing games operated at the venue. The event was held as an open event where not only young people but all citizens could participate.

Daejeon City plans to continue promoting various cultural events reflecting the interests and trends of young people in 2026. Daejeon City will establish a structure where young people can participate as subjects in the policy process and continue to expand participatory communication foundations.
