김태흠 충남도지사는 1일 도청 중회의실에서 제81차 실국원장회의를 열고 이산화탄소 포집·활용(CCU) 사업과 인공지능(AI) 전환, 당진항 수출 물류단지 조성을 동시에 추진할 것을 지시했다.

당진항 수출 물류단지는 2030년까지 4000억 원의 민간 투자로 연 35만 대의 자동차를 매입·정비·선적하는 원스톱 체계를 구축한다. 이 사업으로 8조 8000억 원의 경제 유발 효과와 8000명의 고용 창출이 예상된다. 지난달 27일 국회를 통과한 철강산업 지원 특별법(K-스틸법)은 저탄소 철강특구 지정과 사업 재편 특례를 담았다. 김 지사는 당진이 산업 위기 지역과 함께 특구에 지정될 수 있도록 추진할 것을 지시했다. 오는 9일 개최되는 대전충남 행정통합 촉구대회와 관련해 김 지사는 "행정통합은 지역이 주도하는 국가 발전의 청사진을 제시한 것"이라고 말했다.
