충북 진천군 군립교향악단이 창단 2년차를 맞아 공연 규모를 전년도 대비 10배 확대한다. 진천군은 1일 2024년 창단된 군립교향악단이 올해 12월까지 총 38회 공연을 개최할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 2024년에는 4회 공연을 진행했다.
군립교향악단이 진행하는 '찾아가는 음악회'는 농촌 지역과 관내 기업체를 직접 방문한다. 문화소외지역 주민과 기업 임직원이 직접 음악회를 경험하면서 문화격차 해소에 기여한다. 군은 청소년 오케스트라 교류 공연, 지역 예술인 협업, 계절별 테마 음악회 등을 통해 세대와 계층을 통합하는 문화 사업을 추진한다.
김영철 진천군 문화예술팀장은 "교향악단이 진천의 대표 문화브랜드로 성장할 수 있도록 인프라를 구축하고 프로그램을 다양화하겠다"고 밝혔다. 군은 공연 확대를 통해 지역 경제 활성화와 관광자원 연계로 선순환 구조를 형성할 방침이다.

Jincheon County announced on December 1st that the Philharmonic Orchestra, established in 2024, plans to hold a total of 38 performances through December this year. Four performances were held in 2024.
The 'Music Concerts for Culturally Marginalized' program conducted by the Philharmonic Orchestra directly visits rural areas and companies within the county. Residents of culturally disadvantaged regions and corporate employees experience concerts firsthand, contributing to narrowing the cultural gap. The county promotes cultural projects that integrate generations and classes through youth orchestra exchange performances, local artist collaborations, and seasonal themed concerts.
Kim Young-chul, Team Leader of Jincheon County's Cultural and Arts Division, stated: "We will construct infrastructure and diversify programs so that the Philharmonic Orchestra can grow into a representative cultural brand of Jincheon." The county plans to form a virtuous cycle through performance expansion linking regional economic activation and tourism resources.
