◆ 세종시 서울대와 협력 첫 사업 성료

세종특별자치시 최민호 시장 27일 시청 여민실 종강식을 열었다. 서울대학교와 함께한 인문학 아카데미 6차례 강연을 마무리했다. 9월 양 기관이 체결한 협약에 따른 첫 협력사업이다. 시민들에게 수준 높은 지식을 제공하는 취지로 추진됐다.

◆ 개강 후 1,100명 참석…깊이 있는 강의로 호응

아카데미 10월 16일 개강했다. 매회 200명 안팎 시민들이 참석했다. 마지막 6회 강연까지 총 1,100여 명이 수강했다. 마지막 강연은 서울대 수의학과 장구 교수가 '사람과 동물, 아름다운 동행을 위하여' 주제로 진행했다. 인간과 동물의 관계와 공존의 가치를 다뤘다. 종강식에서는 강의 후기 공모전 수상자 2명, 수료생 대표 1명, 공로상 수상자 1명 등 4명이 시상을 받았다. 4회 이상 강연을 수강한 시민 140명도 수료증을 받았다.

◆ 향후 협력 확대…평생교육 프로그램 지속 추진

세종시 앞으로 서울대와 협력사업을 지속적으로 확대할 계획이다. 세종공동캠퍼스·복합캠퍼스와 연계한 교육·연구 협력 프로그램 운영 체계를 구축할 방침이다. 금현섭 서울대 행정대학원 원장은 "지역과 대학이 함께 성장하는 협력 모델을 만드는 데 힘쓰겠다"고 말했다. 김동일 평생교육원 원장은 "서울대는 공공성에 기반한 평생교육 역할을 고민하고 세종시와 협력사업을 지속적으로 발전시키겠다"고 말했다. 최민호 시장은 "시민의 지적 욕구를 충족시키고 교양 수준을 높이는 평생교육 프로그램이 계속 이어질 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.

The academy opened on October 16th. Approximately 200 citizens attended each session. A total of approximately 1,100 citizens attended through the final sixth lecture. The final lecture was conducted by Professor Jang Gu of Seoul National University's College of Veterinary Medicine on the theme of "Beautiful Coexistence Between Humans and Animals." It addressed the relationship between humans and animals and the value of coexistence. At the closing ceremony, four individuals received awards: two winners of the lecture review contest, one representative graduate, and one recipient of a service award. One hundred forty citizens who attended four or more lectures also received completion certificates.

◆ Plans for Future Expansion…Commitment to Continuing Lifelong Education Programs

Sejong City plans to continuously expand collaborative projects with Seoul National University. It aims to establish an operational system for educational and research cooperation programs linked with the Sejong Joint Campus and Complex Campus. Kim Hyun-seop, Dean of Seoul National University's Graduate School of Public Administration, stated, "We will work to create a cooperative model where local communities and universities grow together." Kim Dong-il, Dean of the Office of Lifelong Education, said, "Seoul National University will reflect on its role in lifelong education based on public interest and continuously develop cooperation projects with Sejong City." Mayor Choi Min-ho said, "We will make efforts to ensure that lifelong education programs that satisfy citizens' intellectual desires and raise cultural literacy continue."
