새솔유치원(원장 송석례)은 11월 21일 세종시 소재 원 시설에서 유아 및 학부모, 세종시교육청 관계자가 참석한 가운데 실내·외 놀이터 개관식을 개최했다. 이 공간은 세종꿈마루사업을 통해 조성됐으며, 유아, 학부모, 교직원 등이 협의 과정에 직접 참여해 완성했다.

실내공간은 복도와 돌봄교실을 확장해 '숲속 라운지'를 조성했다. 독서활동, 돌봄, 학부모 동아리 등 다목적 활용이 가능하다. 복도는 숲속 오솔길로 꾸며졌으며, '숲속 아지트'에서 신간 도서를 탐구할 수 있고 '낙서벽'에서 유아들이 자신의 표현을 즐길 수 있도록 설계했다.

◆ 실외공간과 자연환경

실외공간은 폴딩도어와 데크를 설치해 실내·외 연계 활동을 가능하게 했다. 흙놀이터와 흙산을 마련해 유아들이 맨발로 흙을 밟으며 자연과 교감하도록 했다. 팽나무를 식재해 한여름 햇볕을 차단하고 사계절 쾌적한 놀이 환경을 제공한다.

개관식에 참석한 학부모는 "책도 읽고 편하게 쉬며 놀 수 있는 공간이 생겨서 좋다"고 전했다. 송석례 원장은 "교육공동체가 함께 만든 공간의 의미를 나누게 되어 뜻깊다"며 "실내·외 놀이터가 유아들의 놀이와 배움이 자연 속 교감에서 성장하고 아이다움을 키워가는 공간으로 활용되길 기대한다"고 밝혔다.

The indoor and outdoor playgrounds were created through the Sejong Dream Maru Project, with direct participation from children, parents, and staff throughout the planning process.

The indoor space expanded the hallway and childcare classroom to create a 'Forest Lounge.' The facility supports multiple uses including reading activities, childcare services, and parent club meetings. The hallway features a forest path design, with a 'Forest Den' corner for exploring new books and a 'Scribble Wall' where children express themselves. These spaces accommodate diverse educational activities.

The outdoor space features folding doors and decking to enable indoor-outdoor activity connections. A soil play area and soil hill allow children to experience nature barefoot. Zelkova trees were planted to provide summer shade, creating comfortable play environments throughout all seasons.
