◆ 개최 현황

충청남도 태안군 창기초등학교는 11월 18일 3학년부터 6학년까지 학생들을 수원 별마당 도서관으로 인솔했다. 교장 신학진 교장이 주관한 이 행사는 학교 독서 활동을 넘어 더 큰 독서 문화 경험 제공이 목표다.

◆ 활동 내용

학생들은 별마당 도서관에서 다양한 독서 공간을 살펴보고 관심 분야 도서를 직접 검색해 읽었다. 도서관 전시 도서를 통해 여러 분야 책을 접했으며, 이후 영풍문고 방문하며 평소 원하던 책을 구매했다. 이번 활동은 1년간 꾸준히 독서한 학생들에게 표창과 격려를 전하려는 의도로 기획됐다.

◆ 향후 계획

창기초는 학교 독서 프로그램을 지속 강화할 계획이다. 학생들이 도서관을 자연스럽게 활용하며 스스로 성장하도록 다양한 독서 활동과 체험 프로그램을 확대 추진한다.

◆ Event Overview

Changgi Elementary School in Taean County, South Chungcheong Province took students from grades 3 through 6 to Byeolmadang Library in Suwon on November 18. The event, directed by Principal Shin Hak-jin, aimed to provide students with broader reading culture experiences beyond school-based reading activities.

◆ Activity Details

Students explored various reading spaces at Byeolmadang Library and directly searched for books of interest to read. They examined books in multiple fields through library exhibitions and later visited Yeongpung Bookstore to purchase books they had wanted to read. The program was designed to recognize and encourage students who maintained consistent reading habits over the past year.

◆ Future Plans

Changgi Elementary School plans to continuously strengthen its reading program. The school will expand diverse reading activities and field experiences to encourage students to naturally utilize libraries and foster independent growth through reading culture.
