◆ 조원휘 의장, 산학협력 페어서 혁신 비전 제시
조원휘 대전시의회 의장이 18일 국립한밭대학교에서 열린 제17회 산학협력 페어 개회식에 참석해 산학협력이 지역 경쟁력 강화의 핵심이라고 강조했다. 조 의장은 "혁신의 불씨는 함께할 때 강해진다"며 산·학·관이 협력해 대전의 미래를 견인해야 한다는 점을 당부했다.
◆ 올해 682억원 RISE사업으로 6개 대학 지원
조 의장에 따르면 대전시는 글로벌 경쟁과 기술 변화 속에서 미래산업 개발과 청년 인재 육성에 적극 투자하고 있다. 올해 교육부의 RISE(지역·대학 동반성장) 사업에 682억원을 투입해 6개 지역대학이 정부출연연구기관과 협력과제를 수행 중이다. 이를 통해 대전이 지역 연구의 중심축을 형성하고 있다는 설명이다.

◆ 내년 글로컬대학 150억원, 교육특구 20억원 확대 투자
조 의장은 내년 재정 계획도 공개했다. RISE 사업 지속 추진과 함께 글로컬대학 지원에 150억원, 교육발전특구 조성에 20억원을 편성한다. 대전시와 자치단체가 지역대학과 함께 성장할 수 있는 기반을 한층 강화하는 것이 목표라고 밝혔다.
이날 행사는 지역 주요 기관장과 산학협력단 등 300명이 참석한 가운데 테이프 커팅식, 성과부스 관람, 개회사, 축사, 유공자 표창, 산학협력 현황 발표 등으로 진행됐다.

◆ Chairman Jo Won-hwi emphasizes industry-academia cooperation vision at fair
Jo Won-hwi, Chairman of Daejeon Metropolitan Council, attended the 17th Industry-Academia Cooperation Fair held at Hanbat National University on Nov. 18, emphasizing that industry-academia cooperation serves as a cornerstone for strengthening regional competitiveness. Chairman Jo stressed that "innovation sparks become stronger when united," urging the industry, academia, and government to work together to lead Daejeon's future.
◆ RISE project invests 68.2 billion won to support six regional universities this year
According to Chairman Jo, Daejeon City actively invests in developing future industries and fostering young talent amid global competition and technological change. The city allocates 68.2 billion won to the Ministry of Education's RISE (Regional and University Mutual Growth) project this year, enabling six regional universities to conduct collaborative research with government-funded research institutes. Through this effort, Daejeon is establishing itself as a hub of regional research.
◆ Next year Daejeon budgets 15 billion won for glocal universities, 2 billion won for education special district
Chairman Jo also unveiled next year's fiscal plans. The city will continue the RISE project while allocating 15 billion won for glocal university support and 2 billion won for fostering education special districts. The goal aims to strengthen the foundation for Daejeon City and local governments to grow together with regional universities.
The event was attended by 300 representatives including regional institution directors and industry-academia cooperation staff. The program included ribbon-cutting ceremony, performance booth tours, opening remarks, congratulatory speeches, award presentation for meritorious individuals, and industry-academia cooperation status reports.
