◆ 산란계·오리 검사 횟수 늘리고 24시간 비상 근무 체계 가동

충북도 동물위생시험소는 29일 광주광역시 기러기 사육농장에서 고병원성 조류인플루엔자(AI)가 발생함에 따라 방역 조치를 강화한다고 밝혔다.

정부는 이번 AI 발생으로 위기경보를 '심각' 단계로 상향 조정했다.

동물위생시험소는 방역대책상황실을 24시간 비상근무체계로 운영한다. 신속한 신고 접수와 현장 출동 준비태세를 유지하기 위해서다.

산란계와 토종닭에 대한 검사 주기를 월 1회에서 2주 1회로 단축한다. 오리는 사육기간 중 일령에 따라 3회 검사를 실시한다.

육계를 포함한 모든 가금류는 이동 전 출하 검사를 받아야 한다.

동물위생시험소는 광주 발생농장이 소규모 가금농장인 점을 고려해 도내 전통시장 가금판매소와 계류장 16곳, 가든형 식당 13곳에 대한 일제 검사를 11월 11일까지 실시한다.

가금농장 일제 집중 소독 주간도 운영해 매일 소독 실시 여부를 점검할 예정이다.

동물위생시험소는 올해 5만 4천여 건의 AI 정밀검사를 수행했다. 강화된 검사 체계에 따라 3만여 건의 정밀검사를 추가로 실시한다.

변정운 동물위생시험소장은 "겨울 철새 도래 시기가 다가옴에 따라 농가 피해 예방과 닭고기·계란의 안정적인 수급 관리를 위해 방역 관리를 강화하고 있다"고 말했다.

변 소장은 "가금류 사육농가에서도 차단방역과 소독에 철저를 기해달라"고 당부했다.

The Chungbuk Provincial Animal Health Laboratory announced on the 29th that it will strengthen quarantine measures following the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) at a goose farm in Gwangju Metropolitan City.

The government raised the crisis alert to the 'serious' level due to this AI outbreak.

The Animal Health Laboratory will operate the quarantine response situation room on a 24-hour emergency work system. This is to maintain readiness for prompt report reception and field deployment.

The testing cycle for laying hens and native chickens will be shortened from once a month to once every two weeks. Ducks will be tested three times during the breeding period according to their age.

All poultry, including broilers, must undergo shipment testing before movement.

Considering that the Gwangju outbreak farm is a small-scale poultry farm, the Animal Health Laboratory will conduct comprehensive inspections of 16 poultry sales outlets and holding facilities at traditional markets and 13 garden-style restaurants in the province by November 11.

An intensive poultry farm disinfection week will also be operated to check daily disinfection implementation.

The Animal Health Laboratory has conducted approximately 54,000 AI precision tests this year. An additional 30,000 precision tests will be conducted according to the strengthened testing system.

Byun Jeong-un, Director of the Animal Health Laboratory, said, "As the winter migratory bird season approaches, we are strengthening quarantine management to prevent damage to farms and ensure stable supply and demand management of chicken meat and eggs."

Director Byun requested, "Poultry farms should also be thorough in blocking quarantine and disinfection."
