세계산림치유포럼 국제기구는 28일 진천군 K스토리창작클러스터에서 창립식을 개최하며 산림복지, 치유 관련 국제적 연대의 틀을 마련했다.
◆ 신원섭·남태헌 공동의장 체제 출범
지난해에 이어 2회째로 진행된 2025 세계산림치유포럼의 이틀차 행사로 마련된 창립식에는 신원섭 포럼 의장(충북대 산림학과 교수), 남태헌 공동의장(한국산림복지진흥원 원장), 송기섭 진천군수, 포럼 이사진 등 200여 명이 참석했다. 포럼은 한국산림치유포럼/충북대학교, 한국산림복지진흥원, 국립산림과학원, 영남대가 주관하고 산림청, FAO, 한국수목원정원관리원 등이 후원했다. 창립 행사는 국제기구의 창립 경과 보고, 창립기념 선언문 낭독, 기념 퍼포먼스 등으로 진행됐다. 참석자들은 산림치유 서비스의 적용과 확산 방안 모색, 산림치유 관련 국내외 정책과 최근 연구 동향 공유 등에서 적극적인 협력을 다짐했다.
◆ 30여 국가 전문가 참여...힐링 음악회·치유의 숲 체험
국제기구의 의장은 신원섭 교수와 남태헌 원장이 맡았다. 조직위원으로는 박범진 충남대 교수, 연평식 충북대 교수, 이동수 한국산림복지진흥원 본부장, Tamberly Conway(미국), Alex Gesse(스페인), Guangyu Wang(캐나다), Zhiling Wang(중국) 등이 활동한다. 덴마크, 독일, 일본, 폴란드 등 다양한 국가의 위원들이 학술위원으로 등록됐다. 포럼 첫째 날은 청주 OSCO에서 중국, 일본, 미국, 캐나다, 호주, 유럽 등 30여 국가의 정책입안자, 연구자, 산림치유지도자, 의료전문가, 학자, NGO 등 300명 이상이 참석해 개회식과 학술발표, 토론을 진행했다. 둘째 날 참석자들은 진천 문백면 아트포레 수목원에서 힐링 음악회를 즐기고, 이월면 생거진천 치유의 숲에서 각국의 산림치유 프로그램을 체험했다.
송기섭 진천군수는 "세계산림치유포럼의 본격적인 활동을 알리는 의미 있는 행사가 진천에서 열리게 돼 기쁘다"며 "세계산림치유포럼 국제기구가 자연의 소중함, 산림치유 개념과 효과의 확산에 주도적 역할을 해 나가길 기대한다"고 밝혔다. 국제기구 관계자들은 29~30일 필드 트립 프로그램에 참여해 대한민국의 다양한 산림치유 코스를 탐방할 예정이다.

The Global Forest Healing Forum International Organization held its inaugural ceremony at the K-Story Creative Cluster in Jincheon-gun on the 28th, establishing a framework for international solidarity related to forest welfare and healing.
◆ Launch of co-chairmanship system with Shin Won-seop and Nam Tae-heon
The inaugural ceremony, organized as the second day event of the 2025 Global Forest Healing Forum held for the second year in a row, was attended by about 200 people including Forum Chairman Shin Won-seop (Professor, Department of Forestry, Chungbuk National University), Co-Chairman Nam Tae-heon (President, Korea Forest Welfare Institute), Jincheon County Mayor Song Ki-seop, and forum board members. The forum was organized by the Korean Forest Healing Forum/Chungbuk National University, Korea Forest Welfare Institute, National Institute of Forest Science, and Yeungnam University, and sponsored by the Korea Forest Service, FAO, Korea Arboreta and Gardens Institute, and others. The inaugural event consisted of reports on the establishment process of the international organization, reading of the inaugural declaration, and commemorative performances. Participants pledged active cooperation in seeking ways to apply and spread forest healing services and sharing domestic and international policies related to forest healing and recent research trends.
◆ Experts from over 30 countries participate...Healing concert and healing forest experience
The chairmanship of the international organization was assumed by Professor Shin Won-seop and President Nam Tae-heon. Organizing committee members include Professor Park Beom-jin of Chungnam National University, Professor Yeon Pyeong-sik of Chungbuk National University, Director Lee Dong-soo of Korea Forest Welfare Institute, Tamberly Conway (USA), Alex Gesse (Spain), Guangyu Wang (Canada), and Zhiling Wang (China). Committee members from various countries including Denmark, Germany, Japan, and Poland were registered as academic committee members. On the first day of the forum, more than 300 people including policy makers, researchers, forest healing guides, medical experts, scholars, and NGOs from over 30 countries including China, Japan, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Europe attended the opening ceremony, academic presentations, and discussions at OSCO in Cheongju. On the second day, participants enjoyed a healing concert at Artforet Arboretum in Munbaek-myeon, Jincheon, and experienced forest healing programs from various countries at Saenggeojincheon Healing Forest in Iwol-myeon.
Jincheon County Mayor Song Ki-seop stated, "I am pleased that this meaningful event announcing the full-scale activities of the Global Forest Healing Forum is being held in Jincheon" and "I expect the Global Forest Healing Forum International Organization inaugurated today to play a leading role in spreading the importance of nature and the concept and effects of forest healing." International organization officials plan to participate in field trip programs on the 29th-30th to explore various forest healing courses in Korea.
