홍성군의회(의장 김덕배)는 10월 30일부터 11월 2일까지 홍주읍성 일원에서 열리는 '2025 홍성글로벌바비큐페스티벌'에 충남 시·군의회의장협의회 소속 의장단을 초청한다고 밝혔다. 홍성군의회는 지역 대표축제를 알리고 충남 각 시·군의회 간 상호 교류와 협력을 강화하기 위해 초청을 추진했다. 초청한 14개 시·군의회 중 11개 의회의 의장단이 참석을 확정했다. 의장단은 10월 30일 오후 홍성군의회를 공식 방문한 뒤 페스티벌 개막식에 참석하고 축제장을 둘러보며 지역의 문화·관광 자원을 살펴볼 예정이다.
◆광명시의회도 1일 방문 예정
김덕배 홍성군의회 의장은 "충남 시군의회 의장단의 방문은 우리 군 축제의 위상을 높이고, 지방의회 간 우호 협력의 장을 마련하는 계기가 될 것"이라고 밝혔다. 김 의장은 "앞으로도 지역 축제를 매개로 도내 의회 간 상생협력을 이어가겠다"고 말했다. 11월 1일에는 홍성군의회와 자매결연을 맺고 활발한 교류를 이어오고 있는 광명시의회도 홍성을 방문해 축제장을 찾을 예정이다. 홍성군의회는 양 의회 간 우호 증진과 상생 협력을 위해 광명시의회 의원단과 간담회를 갖고 향후 교류 확대 방안도 논의할 계획이다.

On November 1, Gwangmyeong City Council, which has a sister relationship with Hongseong County Council and maintains active exchanges, will also visit Hongseong and attend the festival venue. Hongseong County Council plans to hold a meeting with Gwangmyeong City Council members to promote friendship and win-win cooperation between the two councils and discuss plans to expand future exchanges.
