예산군은 군민에게 더욱 깨끗하고 위생적인 수돗물을 공급하기 위해 2025년 '옥내배관 세척사업'을 추진한다고 27일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 공동주택 내 급수배관의 계량기부터 수도꼭지까지 배관 내부를 내시경으로 진단하고 고압 세척장비(플러싱 장비)를 활용해 녹과 스케일 등 불순물을 제거한다.
사업 기간은 12월 말까지다. 예산우방유쉘아파트(331세대)와 덕산써니밸리아파트(263세대) 등 총 2개 단지 594세대를 대상으로 세척 작업을 무상으로 실시한다.
군은 2020년 12월 '옥내배관 세척 시범사업'을 시작으로 2024년 12월까지 81개소 4239세대에 대한 세척을 완료했다. 사업 시행 이후 다수의 수용가로부터 "지속적인 시행이 필요하다"는 긍정적인 평가를 받았다.
군 관계자는 "옥내배관 세척사업을 통해 수돗물에 대한 군민들의 불신을 해소하고 더 깨끗하고 안전한 수돗물을 공급할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다"며 "앞으로도 적극적인 홍보와 사업 확대를 통해 더 많은 군민이 위생적인 수돗물을 이용할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

Yesan County announced on the 27th that it will promote the '2025 Indoor Pipe Cleaning Project' to supply cleaner and more hygienic tap water to county residents.
This project diagnoses the inside of water supply pipes from meters to faucets in apartment complexes using endoscopes and removes impurities such as rust and scale using high-pressure cleaning equipment (flushing equipment).
The project period is until the end of December. Cleaning work will be conducted free of charge for a total of 594 households in two complexes including Yesan Woobang U-Shell Apartment (331 households) and Deoksan Sunny Valley Apartment (263 households).
The county completed cleaning of 4,239 households in 81 locations from December 2020, when it started the 'Indoor Pipe Cleaning Pilot Project', until December 2024. After project implementation, it received positive evaluations from many water users saying "continuous implementation is necessary."
A county official stated, "We expect to resolve county residents' distrust of tap water and supply cleaner and safer tap water through the indoor pipe cleaning project," adding, "We will do our best so that more county residents can use hygienic tap water through active promotion and business expansion in the future."
