청주공항 민간전용 활주로 건설을 요구하는 116만1천908명의 서명부가 정부에 전달됐다. ‘청주공항 활성화 민·관·정 위원회’는 2025년 10월 20일 서울 정부청사에서 강희업 국토교통부 제2차관에게 서명부를 제출했다.

충북도는 민항 슬롯 부족 해소와 국가균형발전을 위해 민간 활주로 건설 필요성을 강조하고 있으며, 사업은 2025년 말 발표 예정인 ‘제7차 공항개발종합계획’에 포함되는지 여부로 추진 가능성이 결정된다.
