◆ 17-18일 1박 2일 일정...25명 방문단 보령 방문
보령시는 자매도시인 일본 가나가와현 후지사와시를 중심으로 활동하는 재일본대한민국민단 민단쇼난중부지부와 쇼난일한친선협회 관계자 25명(단장 이신행)이 10월 17일부터 18일까지 1박 2일 일정으로 보령시를 방문했다고 밝혔다. 보령시는 17일 시청 민원동 회의실에서 '한일국교정상화 60주년 기념 민단쇼난중부지부·쇼난일한친선협회 방문단 환영 간담회'를 개최하고 양국 간 민간 교류 확대와 우호 증진의 뜻을 함께 했다.
◆ 한일국교정상화 60주년 기념...환영 간담회 개최
이번 방문은 한일국교정상화 60주년을 기념하고 양국 시민 간 교류를 한층 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 간담회에는 김동일 보령시장, 최은순 시의회 의장, 이신행 민단쇼난중부지부 이사(단장) 및 기무라 미쓰오 쇼난일한친선협회 회장 등 관계자들이 참석했다.
◆ 김동일 시장 "민간 교류 지속 발전"...무창포·죽도 견학
김동일 보령시장은 "이번 방문이 양 도시의 오랜 우정과 신뢰를 더욱 굳건히 하고 교류의 폭을 넓히는 계기가 되길 바란다"며 "민간 중심의 한일 우호 교류가 지속적으로 발전할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다. 방문단은 간담회 후 무창포해수욕장, 죽도 상화원 등 보령의 주요 관광지를 둘러본 뒤 서울로 이동해 견학 일정을 이어간 후 19일 귀국할 예정이다.
