충남 서산시는 25일 오전 11시부터 오후 8시까지 '2025 서산 소문난 거리 축제'를 개최한다고 밝혔다. 축제는 1호 광장부터 삼일상가 사거리까지 이르는 중앙로 일원에서 진행된다. 군악대의 거리 퍼레이드로 막을 올리며 의장대, 바이올리니스트 유진 박, 트로트 신동 임도형, 비보이팀 트래블러 크루 등이 참여해 다채로운 공연을 선보인다.
◆ 거리 패션쇼 특화 프로그램...디자이너 양해일·시민 모델 참여
길거리 문화를 핵심 콘셉트로 삼은 이번 축제는 대도시의 활기 넘치는 거리를 원도심에 구현하기 위해 지방에서 흔치 않은 거리 패션쇼가 특화 프로그램으로 마련됐다. 거리 패션쇼에서는 세계적인 디자이너 양해일이 참여해 전문 모델은 물론 별도로 선발된 시민 모델들이 직접 런웨이에 오른다. 플리마켓과 푸드트럭 등 원도심 활성화를 위한 다양한 판매 행사가 진행된다.
◆ 차 없는 시민 공간 조성..."원도심 활력으로 이어지길"
이번 축제에서는 차량이 가득했던 중앙로 일원이 '차 없는 시민 공간'으로 재탄생된 특별한 경험을 선사한다. 시는 자유롭게 거리를 걷고 즐기는 경험을 시민에게 제공할 이번 축제가 원도심 상권 회복과 지역 문화예술 생태계 활성화에 이바지할 것으로 전망했다. 이완섭 서산시장은 "이번 축제는 시민과 상인이 함께 만들어가는 축제"라며 "대도시의 거리 문화를 서산에 접목해 시민들에게 색다른 즐거움을 선사하고, 하루 동안 거리를 누비며 즐기는 경험이 원도심의 활력으로 이어지길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
