◆ 윤리위, 한동훈 전 대표 제명 의결
국민의힘 중앙윤리위원회가 한동훈 전 대표 제명을 의결했다. 윤리위는 14일 보도자료를 통해 전날인 13일 오후 5시 회의에서 이같이 결정했다고 밝혔다. 제명은 국민의힘 당규상 제명·탈당 권유·당원권 정지·경고 등 4개 징계 중 최고 수위 처분이다.
◆ 당원게시판 사태가 발단
징계 사유는 당원게시판 사태다. 지난해 11월 국민의힘 당원게시판에 윤석열 전 대통령 부부 비방글이 게시됐다. 해당 글에 한 전 대표 가족이 연루됐다는 의혹이 제기됐다.
◆ 제명 시 당원 자격 박탈
제명 처분이 확정되면 한 전 대표는 당원 자격을 잃는다. 이번 결정은 국민의힘 내부 갈등이 최고조에 달했음을 보여준다.

◆ Ethics committee decides expulsion
The People Power Party Central Ethics Committee voted to expel former chairman Han Dong-hoon. The committee announced on January 14 that it reached this decision during a meeting held at 5 p.m. on January 13. Expulsion is the highest level of discipline among four penalties specified in party regulations including expulsion, recommendation to leave party, suspension of membership rights, and warning.
◆ Party bulletin board incident triggered action
The disciplinary action stems from the party bulletin board incident. In November last year, posts defaming former President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife appeared on the People Power Party bulletin board. Allegations emerged that former chairman Han's family members were involved in the posts.
◆ Expulsion means loss of party membership
If the expulsion is finalized, former chairman Han will lose his party membership. This decision shows internal conflict within the People Power Party has reached its peak.
