예산소방서 의용소방대연합회가 1월 8일 예산군청 추사홀에서 연합회장 및 대장 합동 이·취임식을 개최했다. 예산소방서와 의용소방대연합회 관계자 250여 명이 참석했다.

◆ 10대 이종대 연합회장 취임

이종대 신임 연합회장(10대)이 이규석 전임 연합회장(9대)의 뒤를 이어 취임했다. 이종대 연합회장은 "이규석 연합회장과 대장들에게 진심 어린 존경과 감사를 드린다"며 "안전한 예산군을 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

이규석 전임 연합회장은 "연합회 대장들의 협조와 봉사정신 덕분에 무사히 임기를 마쳤다"며 "단체의 무궁한 발전을 기원한다"고 말했다. 예산군은 이임 연합회장과 대장들에게 공로패를 수여했다.

◆ 3개 면 대장 교체

신암면전담대는 손영우 대장(18대)에서 안용원 대장(19대)으로, 신양면여성대는 신연정 대장(4대)에서 김수진 대장(5대)으로, 고덕면여성대는 김순연 대장(4대)에서 조향숙 대장(5대)으로 각각 교체됐다.

예산소방서 의용소방대연합회는 28개 대 600여 명으로 구성됐다. 화재 진압과 재난 현장 대응, 화재 예방 활동을 수행한다. 2024년 여름 수해 피해 발생 시 복구 현장에서 농작물 정리와 주택 내 집기 정리 등 봉사활동을 펼쳤다.

예산군 관계자는 "안전문화 정착을 위해 헌신하는 의용소방대연합회의 노고에 깊이 감사드린다"며 "긴밀한 협력을 통해 더욱 안전한 예산군을 만들겠다"고 말했다.

◆ 10th President Lee Jong-dae Takes Office

Lee Jong-dae, the newly appointed president (10th term), succeeded Lee Gyu-seok, the former president (9th term). President Lee Jong-dae stated, "I express sincere respect and gratitude to President Lee Gyu-seok and the captains," adding, "I will do my best to create a safe Yesan County."

Former President Lee Gyu-seok said, "I was able to complete my term safely thanks to the cooperation and spirit of service of the association captains," and expressed, "I wish for the endless development of the organization." Yesan County presented plaques of appreciation to the outgoing president and captains.

◆ Three Township Captains Replaced

The Sinam-myeon Dedicated Unit changed from Captain Son Young-woo (18th term) to Captain Ahn Yong-won (19th term), the Sinyang-myeon Women's Unit from Captain Shin Yeon-jeong (4th term) to Captain Kim Su-jin (5th term), and the Godeok-myeon Women's Unit from Captain Kim Soon-yeon (4th term) to Captain Jo Hyang-sook (5th term).

The Yesan Fire Department Volunteer Fire Brigade Association consists of 28 units with approximately 600 members. It performs fire suppression, disaster site response, and fire prevention activities. During the summer flood damage in 2024, the association conducted volunteer activities at recovery sites, including organizing crops and household furniture.

A Yesan County official stated, "We deeply appreciate the efforts of the Volunteer Fire Brigade Association for their dedication to establishing a safety culture," adding, "We will create an even safer Yesan County through close cooperation."
