홍주초등학교가 1월 9일 제79회 졸업식을 열고 홍성 읍내에서의 마지막 졸업생을 배출했다. 1946년 개교 이후 80년간 1만1151명의 졸업생을 배출한 홍주초는 3월 1일 내포신도시로 이전한다.

◆ 80년 역사 마무리하는 졸업식

홍주초등학교는 이날 졸업장 수여와 졸업생 선물 증정, 포토부스 운영 등을 진행했다. 졸업생들은 친구 및 가족과 사진을 촬영하며 추억을 남겼다. 학교는 과거 재직 교사들의 축하 및 격려 영상도 상영했다.

한 졸업생은 "친구들과 함께한 학교에서 졸업하게 되어 기쁘고, 홍성 읍내에서의 마지막 졸업식이라 더 뜻깊다"며 "중학생으로서의 생활도 기대된다"고 말했다.

◆ 3월 내포신도시로 새 출발

최동호 교장은 "홍주초등학교에서 보낸 시간들이 아이들의 성장에 든든한 밑거름이 되길 바란다"며 "학생 한 명 한 명이 자신의 꿈을 향해 나아갈 수 있도록 응원하겠다"고 밝혔다.

홍주초등학교는 3월 1일 내포신도시로 이전한다. 새 교사는 병설유치원 포함 48학급 규모로 준공된다.

Hongju Elementary School held its 79th graduation ceremony on January 9, graduating its final class in Hongseong town. The school, which opened in 1946 and has graduated 11,151 students over 80 years, will relocate to Naepo New City on March 1.

◆ Graduation Ceremony Concludes 80-Year History

Hongju Elementary School conducted diploma presentations, graduate gift ceremonies, and photo booth operations on this day. Graduates took photographs with friends and family to preserve memories. The school also screened congratulatory and encouraging video messages from former teachers.

One graduate said, "I am happy to graduate from the school where I spent time with friends, and it feels more meaningful as the last graduation in Hongseong town," adding, "I look forward to life as a middle school student."

◆ New Beginning in Naepo New City in March

Principal Choi Dong-ho stated, "I hope the time spent at Hongju Elementary School becomes a solid foundation for the children's growth," and added, "We will continue to support each student as they pursue their dreams."

Hongju Elementary School will relocate to Naepo New City on March 1. The new school building will be completed with 48 classrooms, including an attached kindergarten.
