◆ 건립 일정 확정

제천 종합실내체육센터는 2026년부터 2028년까지 화산동 일원에 건립된다. 연면적 9,771제곱미터, 지하 2층, 지상 2층 규모다. 제천시는 1월과 2월 중 시공업체를 선정하고, 3월부터 본격적인 공사를 시작한다.

◆ 시민 협조 당부

김창규 시장은 "국제 및 전국 규모 스포츠대회 유치를 위한 핵심 체육기반시설"이라며 "철저한 공정 관리와 안전한 현장 운영으로 사업을 성공적으로 마무리하겠다"고 말했다. 시 관계자는 소음, 분진, 교통 혼잡 등 시민 불편을 최소화하겠다고 밝혔다.

◆ On-Site Inspection Conducted

Jecheon Mayor Kim Chang-gyu visited the outdoor amphitheater demolition site located at 128-1, Hwasan-dong on the 31st of last month. The mayor reviewed the demolition progress in detail and encouraged project personnel. The demolition of the existing outdoor amphitheater facility is currently underway and scheduled to conclude by February.

◆ Construction Timeline Established

The Jecheon Comprehensive Indoor Sports Complex will be constructed in the Hwasan-dong area from 2026 through 2028. The facility covers 9,771 square meters of floor space, features two basement levels and two above-ground levels. Jecheon will select a construction contractor during January and February, with full-scale construction beginning in March.

◆ Public Cooperation Requested

Mayor Kim stated, "This is a key sports infrastructure project for hosting international and national-scale sporting events," and added, "We will complete the project successfully through strict schedule management and safe site operations." A city official said the project will minimize inconvenience to residents caused by noise, dust, and traffic congestion.
