◆ 공직자와 한 팀, 새해 각오 표현
백성현 논산시장은 2일 신년사에서 "목표를 정해 나아가는 삶은 오늘을 버티게 하는 이유이자 내일을 향한 이정표가 될 것"이라 했다. 백 시장은 "공직자 여러분과 한 팀이 되어 새로운 변화와 도약을 추구하는 한 해를 만들어 가겠다"고 밝혔다.
백 시장은 김영관 부시장과 국·소장들을 거명하며 "2025년을 성공적으로 마무리할 수 있었던 것은 여러분 덕분"이라고 감사했다. 이어 "옳다고 판단되는 일에 물러나지 않고 전진해 나갈 수 있도록 올해도 공직자 여러분이 든든하게 지지해 주시길 바란다"고 말했다.
◆ 3대 비전 전략으로 지역경제 활성화
논산시는 농업 가치 제고와 소득 향상, 인구 증가를 통한 활력 있는 도시 조성이라는 3대 목표를 달성하기 위해 3대 비전 전략을 수립했다. 시는 국방군수산업 성공으로 청년 인구 유입을 추진하고, 논산 우수 농수산물의 국제 경쟁력을 강화한다. 탑정호 리조트 개발을 통해 체류형 관광지를 조성하며 세수 증대와 양질의 일자리 창출을 목표로 한다.
◆ 신년 첫 일정, 충령탑 참배에서 시작
논산시무식은 백 시장과 시청 간부들의 충령탑 참배로 시작됐다. 신속허가과 민헌준 주무관과 환경과 김호정 주무관이 공무원 헌장을 낭독하며 시민 봉사 의지와 공직자로서의 사명을 새겼다. 논산시립합창단은 정호승 시인의 '희망을 만드는 사람이 되어라'를 비롯해 '내나라 내겨레' 공연으로 새해 희망을 전했다. 백 시장은 약 1천 명의 공직자들과 일일이 악수를 나누며 새해 인사를 건넸다.

◆ New Year Begins with Tribute to Chungnyeong Tower
The Nonsan City New Year's Ceremony commenced with Mayor Baek and city officials paying tribute to Chungnyeong Tower. Civil Service Charter was recited by Min Heon-jun from the Fast Permit Department and Kim Ho-jeong from the Environment Department, reinforcing the mission of serving citizens and fulfilling the role of public officials. The Nonsan City Choir performed poems by poet Jung Ho-seung titled "Become a Person of Hope" and "My Country, My People," conveying New Year's hopes. Mayor Baek exchanged New Year's greetings with approximately 1,000 public officials through individual handshakes.
