◆ 회기 운영과 안건 처리 현황 진천군의회(의장 이재명) 2025년 한 해 동안 '군민 중심! 소통 의정!'을 의정 방침으로 삼아 의정활동을 진행했다. 정례회 2회, 임시회 5회로 총 7회 회기를 운영하며 90일간 181개 안건을 처리했다. 조례·규칙안 97건을 심의·의결했으며, 예산안 및 결산안 10건, 중요재산취득처분 5건, 동의안 및 승인안 24건, 건의문 1건, 일반안건 40건을 포함했다.
◆ 군정질문과 현지조사로 현장 중심 활동 전개 진천군의회 일반행정·복지환경·경제 등 군정 전반에 걸쳐 2회 39건의 군정질문을 실시해 집행부 책임행정을 촉구했다. 행정사무감사를 통해 예산 집행 효율성과 주요 사업 추진 상황을 점검했다. 상반기에는 주요사업장 현지조사 특별위원회를 구성해 24개소 주요 사업장을 점검했고, 하반기에는 학생생활권 안전조사 특별위원회를 운영해 31개소 통학로 및 안전 취약 지역을 점검하며 시설물 보강과 안전 대책을 요구했다.
◆ 청렴도 2년 연속 1등급 달성으로 신뢰 기반 구축 진천군의회 국민권익위원회 2025년 공공기관 종합청렴도 평가에서 최고 등급인 1등급을 2년 연속 달성했다. 충청권역 중 진천군의회만 1등급을 기록한 유일한 사례로, 전국 지방 의회의 모범 사례가 됐다. 진천군의회 반부패 추진계획 수립, 의원 윤리 및 행동강령 내실화, 부패 방지·청렴 교육 실시, 이해충돌 방지 자체 조사 시행 등으로 청렴한 의정활동 기반을 구축했다. 새해에도 진천군의회 군민 복리증진과 지역 발전을 위한 의정활동을 추진할 방침이다.

◆ Session Operations and Bill Processing Jincheon County Council (Chairman Lee Jae-myung) adopted 'Citizen-Centered Communicative Legislature' as its legislative policy throughout 2025 and implemented legislative activities accordingly. The council operated seven total sessions (two regular sessions and five special sessions) and processed 181 bills over 90 days. The council deliberated and passed 97 ordinances and rules, including 10 budgets and settlement accounts, 5 major property acquisitions and disposals, 24 consents and approvals, 1 resolution, and 40 general matters.
◆ Field-Oriented Activities Through Legislative Inquiries and On-Site Investigations Jincheon County Council conducted 39 legislative inquiries across two sessions covering general administration, welfare, environment, and overall county administration, urging the county government to take responsible administrative action. The council reviewed budget execution efficiency and major project implementation status through administrative audits. In the first half, the council established a special committee for on-site investigation of major projects and inspected 24 major project sites. In the second half, the council operated a special committee for investigating student living area safety, inspected 31 commuting routes and safety-vulnerable areas, and requested facility reinforcement and safety measures.
◆ Achieves Top Integrity Rating for Second Consecutive Year, Establishing Trust Foundation Jincheon County Council achieved Grade 1, the highest rating in the 2025 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment of Public Institutions conducted by the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission, for the second consecutive year. Jincheon County Council is the sole case achieving Grade 1 in the Chungcheong region, becoming a model for local councils nationwide. The council established comprehensive anti-corruption promotion plans, strengthened member ethics and codes of conduct, conducted corruption prevention and integrity education, and consistently implemented self-investigations to prevent conflicts of interest, solidifying the foundation for ethical legislative activities. In the new year, Jincheon County Council plans to continue legislative activities for residents' welfare and regional development.
