◆ 경쟁력지수 종합 2위로 상승

음성군이 한국공공자치연구원 평가 한국지방자치경쟁력지수(KLCI)에서 전국 군단위 종합경쟁력 2위를 기록했다. 2024년 4위에서 2단계 상승했다. 경영활동 부문은 2위에서 1위로 올라섰다.

한국지방자치경쟁력지수는 1996년부터 매년 전국 지방자치단체를 평가한다. 경영자원(300점), 경영활동(300점), 경영성과(400점) 등 3개 부문과 종합경쟁력(1000점)을 측정한다. 4만여 개 기초데이터를 분석해 우수 지자체를 선정·공개한다.

◆ 경영활동 부문 전국 최고 수준

음성군 경영활동 부문이 군단위 1위를 차지했다. 경영자원 부문은 3위를 유지했다. 경영성과 부문은 전년 10위에서 14위로 내려갔다.

7년 연속 민원서비스 종합평가 최우수기관 선정, 제17회 다산목민대상 대통령상 수상, 충청권 유일 청렴도 평가 1등급 달성 등이 경영활동 부문 1위를 견인했다. 도내 고용률 1위 달성도 반영됐다.

◆ 7년간 14.7조 투자유치·1.8만 명 고용창출

지난 7년간 음성군은 14조 7000억 원 규모 투자유치와 1만 8000명 고용창출을 달성했다. 경영자원 부문 3위 평가는 인적자원, 도시 인프라, 산업기반 확충이 반영된 결과다.

음성군 인구는 전년 대비 2400명 증가했다. 지역내총생산(GRDP)은 10조 5507억 원을 기록했다. 군 관계자는 "이번 평가를 통해 정책 성과가 객관적으로 입증됐다"며 "지역 경쟁력 강화에 지속적으로 노력하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ Overall Competitiveness Index Rises to 2nd Place

Eumsung County achieved 2nd place in the nationwide local autonomy competitiveness index among counties according to the Korea Public Administration Research Institute's evaluation. The county advanced two steps from 4th place in 2024. In the management activities sector, it rose from 2nd to 1st place.

The Korea Local Autonomy Competitiveness Index (KLCI) has evaluated local governments nationwide annually since 1996. It measures three sectors—management resources (300 points), management activities (300 points), and management performance (400 points)—plus overall competitiveness (1,000 points). The evaluation analyzes approximately 40,000 fundamental data points and announces exemplary local governments.

◆ Management Activities Sector Achieves Highest National Level

Eumsung County's management activities sector ranked 1st among counties. The management resources sector maintained 3rd place. The management performance sector dropped from 10th to 14th place compared to the previous year.

Seven consecutive years of designation as an exemplary institution for civil petition services, receipt of the Presidential Award at the 17th Dasan Civil Administration Awards, and achieving 1st grade in transparency assessment—the only such achievement in the Chungcheong region—drove 1st place in the management activities sector. Achievement of 1st place in provincial employment rate was also reflected.

◆ 14.7 Trillion Won Investment Attraction and 18,000 Job Creations Over 7 Years

Over the past seven years, Eumsung County achieved investment attraction of 14 trillion 700 billion won and job creation of 18,000 positions. The 3rd place evaluation in the management resources sector reflects expansion of human resources, urban infrastructure, and industrial foundation.

Eumsung County's population increased by 2,400 compared to the previous year. Regional gross domestic product (GRDP) recorded 10 trillion 550.7 billion won. A county official stated, "This evaluation objectively verified our policy achievements," adding, "We will continue efforts to strengthen regional competitiveness."
