◆ 충북도 공예명인·우수공예인 4명 선정

충청북도는 22일 충북도청 여는 마당에서 '충청북도 공예명인' 2명과 '충청북도 우수공예인' 2명에게 지정패와 증서를 전달했다. 올해 공예명인은 금속공예 분야 '달과 6펜스' 문정현 대표와 지호공예 분야 '손끝사랑' 양혜영 대표다. 문정현 대표는 16년간, 양혜영 대표는 33년간 각 분야 발전에 기여했다.

◆ 우수공예인 김상문·최유신 선정

우수공예인은 김상문, 최유신 2명이다. 김상문은 공예 분야 '조각보 2인 식기 세트'로 2021년 대한민국공예품대전 장려상을 받았다. 최유신은 목공예 분야 '음양오행'으로 2025년 대한민국공예품대전 장려상을 받았다. 공예명인은 공예 분야 경력 15년 이상이면서 우수공예인 지정자 중 충북공예협동조합 이사장 추천을 받아야 한다. 우수공예인은 충북 공예품 대전 동상 이상 또는 대한민국공예품대전 장려상 이상 수상자를 대상으로 선정한다.

◆ 전시회 참가·판로 확대 등 혜택 제공

공예명인과 우수공예인 지정자는 전국 각종 전시회 참가, 우수공예품 홍보, 판로 확대, 우수공예품개발 우선 지원 등 혜택을 받는다. 충청북도는 충청북도 공예품개발 심의협의회 심의를 거쳐 최종 지정했다. 김영환 충북도지사는 "공예명인 및 우수공예인이 자긍심을 가질 수 있도록 신제품 개발비, 공예품 홍보 및 판로시장 개척 등 다양한 지원 방안을 마련하겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ Kim Sang-moon and Choi Yu-shin Selected as Excellent Craftsmen

Two Excellent Craftsmen were selected: Kim Sang-moon and Choi Yu-shin. Kim Sang-moon received an encouragement award at the 2021 Korea Craft Competition for 'Jogakbo 2-Person Tableware Set' in the craft category. Choi Yu-shin received an encouragement award at the 2025 Korea Craft Competition for 'Yin-Yang Five Elements' in the woodcraft category. Master Craftsmen must have at least 15 years of experience in the craft field, be designated as Excellent Craftsmen, and receive recommendation from the Chungbuk Craft Cooperative Chairman. Excellent Craftsmen are selected from bronze award winners or higher at the Chungbuk Craft Competition or encouragement award winners or higher at the Korea Craft Competition.

◆ Benefits Including Exhibition Participation and Market Expansion

Those designated as Master Craftsmen and Excellent Craftsmen receive benefits including participation in various national exhibitions, promotion of excellent crafts, market expansion, and priority support for excellent craft product development. Chungcheongbuk-do made the final designation through deliberation by the Chungcheongbuk-do Craft Product Development Deliberation Council. Governor Kim Young-hwan stated, "We will prepare various support measures including new product development costs, craft promotion, and market pioneering so that Master Craftsmen and Excellent Craftsmen can have pride."
