◆ 2025학년도 성과 점검과 2026학년도 발전방안 모색
세종특별자치시교육청 학교지원본부(본부장 이미자)는 22일 '2025학년도 학교변호사 운영 평가 및 발전방안 협의회'를 개최했다. 이날 협의회는 교원이 받는 법률지원 신뢰도를 높이고 학교 법률서비스 질을 향상시키기 위해 마련됐다. 세종시교육청이 운영하는 학교변호사 제도는 관내 모든 학교 유치원을 포함한 교육활동 보호를 위해 학교급별, 사안별 맞춤형 법률자문 역할을 수행한다.
◆ 16명 참석, 현장 애로사항과 개선방안 논의
협의회는 학교지원본부장과 교육지원부장 등 내부 관계자 6명, 학교변호사 10명 등 총 16명이 참석했다. 회의에서는 2025학년도 법률지원 운영 성과를 종합적으로 평가했고 학교 현장에서 발생한 애로사항과 개선 필요사항에 대한 학교변호사들의 의견을 청취했다. 또한 법률지원 서비스 실효성을 높이기 위한 구체적 개선방안과 2026학년도 운영방향을 논의했다. 지역교권보호위원회 운영과 학교 법률지원 체계의 합리성 확보 방안에 대해서도 심도 있는 협의를 진행했다.
◆ 전문성·접근성 강화로 교원 보호 체계 고도화
세종시교육청은 협의회에서 도출된 현장 의견을 적극 반영해 법률지원 서비스의 전문성과 접근성을 강화해 나갈 계획이다. 이미자 본부장은 "학교변호사의 헌신 덕분에 우리 교원들이 안정적으로 교육활동에 전념할 수 있었다"라며 "긴밀한 협력체계를 바탕으로 든든한 법률지원을 지속 제공해 교권보호를 더욱 강화하겠다"라고 밝혔다. 세종시교육청은 학교변호사 제도를 비롯한 다각적 노력으로 교육활동 침해 예방과 대응 체계를 공고히 하고 교원이 존중받는 안전한 교육환경 조성에 집중할 방침이다.

◆ Review 2025 Academic Year Performance, Explore 2026 Development Plans
The School Support Division of Sejong Special Self-Governing City Office of Education (Director Yi Mi-ja) held a "2025 Academic Year School Lawyer Operation Evaluation and Development Plan Consultation Meeting" on the 22nd. The consultation meeting was organized to enhance teacher confidence in legal support services and improve the quality of school legal services. The school lawyer program operated by Sejong City Education Office provides customized legal consultation by school level and case type to protect educational activities at all schools, including kindergartens, within the jurisdiction.
◆ 16 Participants Discuss Field Challenges and Improvement Measures
The meeting was attended by 16 participants, including six internal officials such as the School Support Division director and Education Support Division director, and 10 school lawyers. The meeting comprehensively evaluated the 2025 academic year legal support operations and heard school lawyers' opinions on challenges and necessary improvements arising from school practice. Additionally, the participants discussed concrete improvement measures to enhance the effectiveness of legal support services and reviewed 2026 operation directions. In-depth discussions were also held on operating the regional teacher protection committee and securing rationality in the school legal support system.
◆ Enhancing Professionalism and Accessibility to Strengthen Teacher Protection System
Sejong City Education Office plans to actively reflect the field opinions generated from the consultation meeting and strengthen the professionalism and accessibility of legal support services. Director Yi stated, "Thanks to the dedication of school lawyers, our teachers have been able to focus on educational activities with stability. Based on a close cooperation system, we will continuously provide solid legal support and further strengthen teacher protection." Sejong City Education Office plans to focus on solidifying the system for preventing and responding to educational activity violations through diverse efforts, including the school lawyer program, and creating a safe educational environment where teachers are respected.
