◆ 규제혁신 평가 우수기관 선정
천안시가 충청남도 주관 2025년 규제혁신 시군 추진실적 평가에서 우수기관으로 선정됐다. 도내 15개 시군을 대상으로 진행된 이번 평가는 경쟁제한 및 소비자 권익 제한 자치법규 개선, 적극행정을 통한 규제 애로 해소, 자치규제 정비 실적, 규제 홍보 실적 등을 종합 평가했다. 천안시는 규제 애로 해소를 통한 기업 환경 개선과 시민 삶의 질 향상에서 높은 점수를 받았다. 시는 찾아가는 규제개혁 365, 규제개선 우체통 등 현장 중심의 규제혁신 시책을 지속 추진해왔다.
◆ 부서 간 협업으로 실질적 성과 도출
천안시는 부서 간 협업을 통해 규제 재검토 및 제도 개선을 추진했다. 이 같은 노력이 실질적인 성과로 이어져 긍정적인 평가를 받았다. 시민과 기업이 일상에서 체감할 수 있는 규제개선을 목표로 추진된 정책들이 높이 평가된 것이다.
◆ 행정혁신 평가도 우수기관 선정
천안시는 충청남도 주관 행정혁신 평가에서 혁신업무 우수기관으로도 선정됐다. 행정안전부의 조직문화 개선 우수사례 경진대회와 저연차 혁신모임에서 조직 내부의 혁신 문화를 확산하고 일하는 방식 개선을 위한 혁신 아이디어를 발굴·확산했다는 평가를 받았다. 김석필 천안시장 권한대행 부시장은 "규제혁신과 행정혁신 우수기관 선정은 시민과 기업의 불편을 줄이기 위해 현장에서 해답을 찾고자 노력한 결과"라며 "앞으로도 규제혁신과 행정혁신을 통해 시민이 체감하는 행정, 기업하기 좋은 도시 천안을 만들어 나가겠다"고 말했다.

Cheonan City has been selected as an excellence organization in the 2025 Regulatory Innovation Implementation Evaluation for Cities and Counties hosted by Chungcheongnam-do Province. The evaluation, conducted on 15 cities and counties in the province, comprehensively assessed improvements in self-governing ordinances restricting competition and consumer rights, resolution of regulatory difficulties through proactive administration, performance in self-governing regulation improvement, and regulatory promotion performance. Cheonan City received high scores in improving the business environment through resolution of regulatory difficulties and enhancing the quality of life for citizens. The city has continuously pursued field-focused regulatory innovation policies including "Visiting Regulatory Reform 365" and "Regulatory Improvement Mailbox."
◆ Tangible Results Achieved Through Interdepartmental Collaboration
Cheonan City pursued regulatory review and system improvement through interdepartmental collaboration. These efforts led to tangible results and received positive evaluation. Cheonan City was also selected as an excellence organization for innovative work in the Administrative Innovation Evaluation hosted by Chungcheongnam-do Province. In the Ministry of Interior and Safety's Excellence Case Competition for Organizational Culture Improvement and the Low-Seniority Innovation Meeting, it received evaluation for spreading innovation culture within the organization and discovering and disseminating innovation ideas for improving work methods. Vice Mayor Kim Suk-pil, Acting Mayor of Cheonan, stated, "The selection as an excellence organization in regulatory innovation and administrative innovation is the result of efforts to find answers in the field to reduce inconveniences for citizens and businesses," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to create an administration that citizens can feel and a city of Cheonan where it is good to do business through regulatory innovation and administrative innovation."
