◆ 정주여건 개선에 265억원 집중
음성군은 국정과제 연계 민생경제 회복과 민선 8기 핵심 공약 추진에 우선 배분했다. 정주여건 개선과 인구 유입 촉진을 위해 지역균형발전사업 65억원, 국립소방병원 건립 재정지원 60억원, 충북혁신도시 송전선로 지중화사업 60억원, 감곡햇살누리센터 조성사업 28억원, 인구증가시책 14억원을 편성했다.
◆ 복지·안전에 446억원 투입
군민의 평생 복지 확대와 안전한 지역 생활환경 구축에 446억원을 배정했다. 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원 172억원, 영유아보육료 지원비 75억원, 자연재해위험개선지구 정비 115억원, 장애인종합복지센터 건립 15억원, 감곡119안전센터 부지매입 17억원 등을 포함했다. 백야 및 음성 비점오염저감사업에도 32억원을 배정했다.
◆ 교육·문화·농업에 667억원 배분
교육과 문화·관광 인프라 강화에 302억원을 투입했다. 자린고비 청빈마을 조성사업 58억원, 맹동 종합스포츠타운 조성사업 53억원, 천년숨결 국가생태탐방로 조성 20억원, 산업단지 청년복합문화센터 건립 20억원 등이 포함되었다. 농업·농촌 분야 지속가능한 발전을 위해 365억원을 배분했다. 기본형 공익직불제사업 193억원, 농촌중심지활성화사업 161억원, 농촌공간정비사업 64억원, 농업인 공익수당 지원 48억원 등을 편성했다.
◆ 지역경제 도약을 위한 지원 101억원
민생 안정과 지역경제 도약 발판 마련을 위해 중소기업육성자금 이차보전지원 46억원, 음성행복페이 할인율 보전금 25억원, 기업 정주여건 개선 보조사업 10억원, 소상공인 지원 10억원을 예산에 포함했다.
군 관계자는 "이번 2026년 예산 편성은 민선 8기 성과 도출과 음성군의 지속 가능한 성장을 중점으로 뒀다"며 "한정된 재원을 효율적으로 활용해 군민이 체감하는 군정 운영을 추진하겠다"고 말했다.

For improving residential conditions and promoting population inflow, the county earmarked 6.5 billion won for regional balanced development projects, 6 billion won for financial support to establish a national fire service hospital, 6 billion won for undergrounding power transmission lines in Chungbuk Innovation City, 2.8 billion won for Gamgok Haesal Nuri Center development, and 1.4 billion won for population growth initiatives.
◆ Investing 44.6 billion won in welfare and safety
The county allocated 44.6 billion won for expanding lifetime welfare for residents and building safe living environments. This includes 17.2 billion won for elderly employment and social activity support, 7.5 billion won for infant care subsidies, 11.5 billion won for natural disaster risk improvement district maintenance, 1.5 billion won for comprehensive welfare center for persons with disabilities, and 1.7 billion won for land acquisition of Gamgok Fire Station 119. An additional 3.2 billion won was allocated for reducing non-point pollution in Baekya and Eumseong.

The county invested 30.2 billion won in strengthening education, culture, and tourism infrastructure. Major projects include 5.8 billion won for Jaringobi Village development, 5.3 billion won for Maengdong Comprehensive Sports Town, 2 billion won for creating national ecological trails, and 2 billion won for youth complex cultural center at the industrial complex. For sustainable agricultural development, 36.5 billion won was allocated, including 19.3 billion won for basic public interest direct payment projects, 16.1 billion won for rural revitalization projects, 6.4 billion won for rural space improvement, and 4.8 billion won for farmer public service allowance support.

For stabilizing livelihoods and paving the way for local economic advancement, the county budgeted 4.6 billion won for secondary interest subsidy support for small and medium enterprises, 2.5 billion won for Eumseong Happiness Pay discount rate compensation, 1 billion won for corporate residential condition improvement subsidies, and 1 billion won for small business support.
A county official stated, "This 2026 budget allocation focuses on achieving results in the 8th private-sector-led administration and supporting sustainable growth in Eumseong County," adding that "we will make our best efforts to implement county administration that residents can experience using limited financial resources efficiently."
