Cheongju collaborated with the local police bureau to select areas vulnerable to crime and safety accidents as priority installation sites. The expansion of new CCTV coverage is expected to increase the effectiveness of residential crime prevention. Response speed at incident scenes can also improve.

Cheongju will conduct 24-hour real-time monitoring using CCTV in the event of disasters and various safety accidents. The city plans to progressively replace aging equipment and expand installation through continuous inspection and maintenance.
