청주교육지원청(교육장 박종원)은 12월 15일 청주교육지원청 미래관과 청주실내체육관에서 KB스타즈 농구단과 함께 진로멘토링 행사를 개최했다. 청주 관내 초·중학교 학생선수 232명이 참가했다.

한화이글스 채은성 선수는 '실패는 멈춤이 아니다'를 주제로 강연했다. 채 선수는 성장 과정과 운동 인생에서 겪은 도전·갈등·극복 경험을 공유했으며, 실패를 두려워하지 않고 성장의 발판으로 삼는 태도의 중요성을 강조했다.

KB스타즈 엄정우 컨디셔닝 트레이너는 '스포츠 상해 예방과 올바른 워밍업'을 주제로 강연했다. 엄 트레이너는 실제 훈련에 활용되는 스트레칭과 안정화 동작을 시범 보였다.

행사 후 학생들은 청주실내체육관에서 KB스타즈 대 삼성생명 경기를 관람했다. 이날 경기에서 채은성 선수가 선발 투수를 맡았다.

권미경 교육국장은 "이번 행사가 학생선수들이 운동선수로서뿐 아니라 넓은 시야로 진로를 설계하는 의미 있는 시간이 되길 바란다"고 말했다. 박종원 교육장은 "지역 프로스포츠 구단과 함께하는 프로그램은 학생선수들이 현장 경험을 토대로 미래를 그려보는 소중한 기회가 될 것"이라며 "학생선수들의 꿈과 열정을 응원하는 교육활동을 지속 추진하겠다"고 밝혔다.

청주교육지원청은 지역 연계 프로그램 확대를 통해 학생선수 진로 역량 강화, 안전한 스포츠 환경 조성, 체육 교육 활성화를 추진할 계획이다.

Cheongju Office of Education (Director Park Jong-won) held a career mentoring event with the KB Stars basketball team at the Cheongju Office of Education's Future Hall and Cheongju Indoor Gymnasium on December 15th. A total of 232 student athletes from elementary and middle schools in Cheongju participated.

Choi Eun-sung of the Hanwha Eagles delivered a lecture on the theme "Failure is not a stop." Choi shared experiences of challenges, conflicts, and overcoming setbacks in his athletic career and emphasized the importance of embracing failure without fear and using it as a stepping stone for growth.

Um Jung-woo, a conditioning trainer for the KB Stars, delivered a lecture on "Sports Injury Prevention and Proper Warm-up." Trainer Um demonstrated stretching techniques and stabilization movements used in actual training.

Following the event, students traveled to Cheongju Indoor Gymnasium to watch the KB Stars versus Samsung Life Insurance game. Choi Eun-sung served as the starting pitcher in that day's game.

Kwon Mi-kyung, Director of the Education Bureau, said, "I hope this event becomes a meaningful time for student athletes to design their careers not only as athletes but also with a broader perspective." Director Park Jong-won stated, "The program with regional professional sports teams will provide a valuable opportunity for student athletes to envision their future based on their on-site experiences, and we will continue to implement educational activities that support and encourage student athletes' dreams and passion."

Cheongju Office of Education plans to expand regional partnership programs to strengthen student athletes' career competency, create a safe sports environment, and promote physical education activities.
