◆ 기념식 개최

월남참전자회 음성군지회는 11일 음성군 영빈컨벤션에서 대한민국 월남참전 61주년 기념행사를 개최했다. 민경상 지회장 주관으로 열린 이번 행사에는 장기봉 음성 부군수, 기관·단체장, 보훈단체 회원 등 150명이 참석했다.

◆ 표창 수여

행사에서 월남전참전자회 활성화와 지역사회 봉사에 앞장선 참전유공자 5명이 표창장을 받았다. 참석자들은 참전유공자의 희생정신을 기리고 감사를 전했다.

◆ 보훈 정책 강화 약속

민경상 지회장은 "국가유공자 권익 신장을 위해 노력하는 군과 관련 단체에 감사한다"며 "나라와 사회에 공헌하는 보훈 활동으로 가치를 높이겠다"고 말했다. 장기봉 부군수는 "참전자의 고귀한 희생과 헌신으로 오늘날 대한민국 성장을 이뤘다"며 "다양한 보훈정책으로 유공자와 유족 예우에 최선을 다하겠다"고 전했다.

◆ Commemoration Ceremony Held

The Eumseong County Branch of the Vietnam War Veterans Association held its 61st anniversary commemoration on December 11th at Youngbin Convention in Eumseong County. Presided over by Branch Chairman Min Kyung-sang, the event drew 150 attendees including Vice County Governor Jang Ki-bong, heads of government agencies and organizations, and members of veterans associations.

◆ Commendation Awards Ceremony

At the ceremony, five Vietnam War veterans who led efforts to revitalize the Vietnam Veterans Association and advance community service received commendation certificates. Attendees honored the sacrificial spirit of the veterans and expressed their gratitude.

◆ Commitment to Enhanced Veterans Welfare Policies

Branch Chairman Min Kyung-sang said, "We appreciate the military and related organizations working to advance the interests of national merit holders," adding, "We will elevate the value of veteran services through activities that contribute to the nation and society." Vice County Governor Jang Ki-bong stated, "The growth and development of South Korea today was achieved through the noble sacrifice and dedication of Vietnam War participants," and pledged, "We will do our best to ensure proper respect for merit holders and their bereaved families through diverse veterans welfare policies."
