◆ 충북·충남 공동 추진 1단계 성과

충북도는 10일 청주국제공항에서 초광역 관광교통 순환노선 공식 개통식을 열었다. 이동욱 충북도 행정부지사, 최정훈 충북도의회 행정문화위원장, 조일교 충남도 문화체육관광국장 등 관계자 50여 명이 참석했다.

순환노선은 청주국제공항과 KTX오송역, 공주터미널, 부여터미널을 연결하는 신규 시외버스 노선이다. 충북도와 충남도가 공동으로 추진한 초광역형 관광교통 혁신 선도지구 사업의 1단계 성과다.

◆ 운행 현황 및 요금

해당 노선은 지난 10월 27일 첫 운행을 시작했다. 지난달 말 기준 누적 이용객은 543명이다. 하루 4차례씩 왕복 8회 운행한다. 요금은 공주행 1만800원, 부여행 1만7800원이다.

◆ 향후 추진 계획

충북도는 순환노선과 주요 관광지를 연결하는 수요응답형교통(DRT) 도입을 추진한다. 초광역형 관광교통 통합 플랫폼 구축, 홍보관 운영, 지역 특성을 반영한 관광콘텐츠 개발, 국내외 온·오프라인 홍보 마케팅도 진행할 계획이다.

이동욱 행정부지사는 "공항, 역, 터미널 등 교통 거점 간 접근성이 대폭 개선됐다"며 "체류형 관광 확대와 지역 경제 활성화의 중요한 변곡점이 될 것으로 기대한다"고 밝혔다.

◆ Phase 1 Achievement of Joint Project by Chungbuk and Chungnam

Chungbuk Province held the official opening ceremony of the super-regional tourism transportation circular route at Cheongju International Airport on the 10th. About 50 officials attended, including Lee Dong-wook, Deputy Governor for Administration of Chungbuk Province, Choi Jeong-hun, Chairman of the Administrative and Cultural Committee of Chungbuk Provincial Council, and Jo Il-gyo, Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Chungnam Province.

The circular route is a new intercity bus line connecting Cheongju International Airport, KTX Osong Station, Gongju Terminal, and Buyeo Terminal. This is the Phase 1 achievement of the super-regional tourism transportation innovation pilot district project jointly promoted by Chungbuk and Chungnam provinces.

◆ Operation Status and Fares

The route started its first operation on October 27. The cumulative number of passengers reached 543 as of the end of last month. The bus operates 4 times daily for a total of 8 round trips. Fares are 10,800 won to Gongju and 17,800 won to Buyeo.

◆ Future Plans

Chungbuk Province plans to introduce Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) connecting the circular route with major tourist attractions. The province will also establish an integrated super-regional tourism transportation platform, operate promotional centers, develop tourism content reflecting regional characteristics, and conduct domestic and international online and offline promotional marketing.

Deputy Governor Lee Dong-wook said, "Accessibility between transportation hubs such as airports, stations, and terminals has been significantly improved." He added, "We expect this to be an important turning point for expanding stay-type tourism and revitalizing the local economy."
