세종시 소담중학교가 제14회 Wee 프로젝트 우수사례 공모전에서 전국 최우수교로 선정돼 12월 9일 교내 현판식을 개최했다. 학생 맞춤형 지원 체계 구축과 교육공동체의 협력이 높은 평가를 받았다.

◆ 제14회 Wee 프로젝트 우수사례 공모전 전국 최우수교 선정

소담중학교(교장 박현미)가 제14회 Wee 프로젝트 우수사례 공모전에서 전국 최우수교로 선정됐다. 한국청소년정책연구원장상을 수상한 소담중은 12월 9일 화요일 교내에서 교직원 및 학생회 임원들과 함께 최우수교 현판식을 개최했다. 학생맞춤통합지원의 선도 모델로 인정받으며 기관 표창을 받은 것이다.

◆ 학생 지원의 체계화와 교육과정 연계로 차별화된 운영

소담중은 학생맞춤통합위원회를 중심으로 발굴·진단·지원·평가에 이르는 학생 지원 절차를 체계화했다. 이를 교육과정과 유기적으로 연계한 학생맞춤통합지원 모델을 구축해 일반화 가능한 학교 운영 체계를 마련했다. 2025학년도에는 소담초등학교와의 연계를 통해 행복지수 설문조사 등 다층적인 발굴 체계를 바탕으로 123명의 학생을 지원했다.

학교는 기초학력 프로그램, 대안교실, 진로진학 상담, '소담러닝맨' 프로젝트, 환경 활동, 집단상담, 교내 캠핑, 미술관 탐방 등 다양한 교육과정 연계 프로그램을 운영하며 학업·관계·정서 영역을 균형 있게 지원했다. 지역사회 기관과 협력해 학습 상담, 경계선 지능 학생 지원, 정신건강 치료비 지원 등도 제공하며 촘촘한 지원망을 구축했다.

◆ 교육공동체의 인식 강화와 전국 우수 모델로의 확산

학부모 연수, 부모 감정 지도교육, 학교신문 홍보 등을 통해 교육공동체의 인식을 높였다. 교원 대상 연수 및 전문적 학습공동체 운영을 통해 교원의 지원 역량도 지속적으로 강화해왔다. 소담중의 운영 사례는 세종시교육청 연수뿐 아니라 타 시도에서 방문한 연수단을 통해 확산되며 전국적인 우수 모델로 자리매김하고 있다.

박현미 교장은 "이번 Wee 프로젝트 최우수상 수상은 교육과정 속에서 지속 가능한 학생 지원 체계를 정착시키기 위해 교육공동체 모두가 노력한 점이 높은 평가받았다"며 "앞으로도 학생의 전인적 성장을 위한 학생맞춤통합지원에 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

Sodam Middle, which received the Korean Youth Policy Research Institute Director's Award, held a plaque ceremony for the excellence school on Tuesday, December 9th, with teachers and student council executives at the school. The school received institutional commendation as a leading model of student-customized integrated support.

◆ Differentiated Operations through Systematization of Student Support and Curriculum Linkage

Sodam Middle systematized student support procedures ranging from discovery, diagnosis, support, and evaluation centered on the Student-Customized Integrated Support Committee. The school established a student-customized integrated support model organically linked with curriculum and prepared a generally applicable school operation system. In the 2025 academic year, the school supported 123 students based on a multi-layered discovery system including happiness index surveys through collaboration with Sodam Elementary School.

The school operated various curriculum-linked programs including basic academic programs, alternative classrooms, career and college counseling, the 'Sodam Learning Man' project, environmental activities, group counseling, in-school camping, and art gallery visits, providing balanced support in academics, relationships, and emotional domains. The school also partnered with community organizations to provide academic counseling, support for students with borderline intelligence, and mental health treatment fee assistance, establishing a comprehensive support network.

◆ Strengthening Educational Community Awareness and Expansion as a National Excellence Model

The school enhanced educational community awareness through parent training, parent emotional guidance education, and school newspaper promotion. The school continuously strengthened teachers' support capabilities through teacher training and operation of professional learning communities. Sodam Middle's operational cases spread through training teams visiting from other cities and provinces as well as Sejong City Office of Education training, establishing itself as a national excellence model.

Principal Park Hyun-mi stated, "This Wee Project excellence award was given high evaluation for all members of the educational community's efforts to establish a sustainable student support system within the curriculum," and added, "Moving forward, we will do our best to provide student-customized integrated support for students' holistic growth."
