◆ 변호사 초청한 학교폭력 예방교육 실시

삼양초등학교는 2025년 11월 25일 충청북도교육청 소속 학교폭력예방 및 사안처리 지원 변호사 정아름을 초청해 학생 대상 법교육을 실시했다. 교육은 최근 학교폭력이 디지털·사이버 영역으로 확산되는 추세를 반영해 학생들이 정확한 법적 기준을 이해하고 적절히 대응할 역량을 갖추도록 진행됐다.

정 변호사는 학교폭력의 개념, 유형, 법적 책임, 신고 절차를 실제 사례로 설명했다. 메신저 비하, 단체 대화방 따돌림, 디지털 촬영·전송 등 디지털 영역에서 증가하는 학교폭력 사건들을 제시했다. 장난과 폭력의 경계, 의도와 관계없이 발생하는 피해, 법적 책임으로 이어질 수 있는 상황을 안내했다. 참석한 학생들은 일상에서 겪을 수 있는 갈등 상황을 직접 질문하며 법률 전문가와 소통했다.

◆ 학생들 법적 인식 제고 계기

5학년 정수민 학생은 "사소한 장난이라 생각했던 행동이 학교폭력이 될 수 있다는 점을 알게 됐고 친구들과 바르게 소통해야겠다고 느꼈다"고 말했다. 이번 교육은 학생들이 갈등을 성숙하게 이해하고 책임 있는 행동을 실천하며 더욱 안전하고 평화로운 학교문화를 조성하는 데 기여할 것으로 예상된다.

Samyang Elementary School invited Jeong A-reum, a lawyer from the North Chungcheong Office of Education's school violence prevention and case support division, on November 25, 2025, to conduct legal education for students. The education was designed to reflect recent trends of school violence expanding into digital and cyber domains, enabling students to understand accurate legal standards and develop appropriate response capabilities.

◆ Legal standards explained through digital violence cases

Lawyer Jeong explained the concept, types, legal responsibility, and reporting procedures for school violence through actual cases. She presented school violence incidents increasingly occurring in digital domains, including messenger insults, exclusion in group chat rooms, and digital photography and transmission. She guided students on the boundary between pranks and violence, damage that occurs regardless of intention, and situations that could lead to legal responsibility. Participating students directly communicated with the legal expert by asking about conflict situations they could experience in daily life.

◆ Students develop legal awareness

Fifth-grade student Jeong Su-min said, "I learned that an action I thought was a small prank could become school violence, and I felt I should communicate properly with my friends." This education is expected to help students understand conflicts maturely, practice responsible behavior, and contribute to creating a safer and more peaceful school culture.
